Jasmine POV

"Nasir hold on to my back pocket." I told him as I grabbed a shopping cart. Grocery shopping with my babies is always an adventure.

"Mama!" Tia squealed when I sat her in the cart. She gets so excited when we go shopping. She loves to reach for everything.

I started to get my shopping done and Nasir held on to my back pocket. He knows better than to let go and wander off. I do not play that, I refuse to lose one of my kids in the store.

"Ana! Ana!" Tia screamed and clapped while smiling, showing her teeth. I looked behind me and saw Loriana walking down the isle. She didn't even notice me till Tia yelled louder.

"Hey y'all." She said, getting closer to us. I hugged her and kissed her cheek. "Hey babies."

"You're grocery shopping?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes momma. Dre is sure as hell not gonna do it." She said making me laugh.

"I'm just in shock. Like you're all grown up, moved out the house, and now grocery shopping for your house. Everything done happened so quickly." I shook my head.

"I know. I'm very happy though, Dre really completes me. I'm upset I wasted time with Rodney and always took Dre's flirting as a joke. I just always thought that he was a typical guy with mad hoes and a cheater and all this and that. He ended up being the total opposite." She said. I'm genuinely happy that my baby is so happy. Mario still be crabby about it but I know he is happy for them. "I think he's going to propose mom." She said. That definitely caught my attention.

"That's great! I think y'all are to young though. Marriage is a forever type of thing." I told her truthfully.

"I know what you mean mom. Like I would want to wait till I graduate school, but I just want the ring already." She sighed.

"A ring is just a piece of jewelry Lori. It doesn't define your relationship."

"I think it does kind of. Like I just want to let all these other thirsty little girls that he's taken and happily taken. I know girls be tryna come at Dre and honestly I'm not having it." She shrugged.

"Loriana, no. That's not the point of an engagement or marriage. Honestly, there's always going to be somebody out there wanting something you have, but you can't do everything in your power to prove them wrong. Plus, you and me both know that Dre does nothing to please others that don't concern him. If he's gonna propose to you, he's doing it for the right reason, so don't say yes with a hidden agenda behind it. You hear me?" I said. She slightly rolled her eyes and nodded.

"I hear you momma. But also, you know that Ja came to my house and he really brought his girlfriend with him." She said with a frown on her face.

"I really don't understand why you don't like Ciara. She's really a sweetheart and she cares a lot about JaKory. She's a positive influence on him and anybody can tell how much they care about each other." I said. I actually like Ciara which is surprising because I'm protective over my baby boy. Even Mario's mean ass likes her.

"I don't trust that female. She be to much all over Ja and she be having Ja buy her all this expensive shit like as if they're not just kids." I rolled my eyes at that. That's just ridiculous.

"She's all over him cause that's her man. Also, Ja buys her nice things without her asking him. In fact, she doesn't even like it when he does it. They got into a full argument over that." I said.

"Well, I think he's to young to be dating. He should focus on school and basketball."

"You started dating Rodney your senior year though. Just let JaKory be a kid and make his own mistakes. That's your brother, not your child." I told her. She didn't say anything, just rolled her eyes.
