Jasmine POV

"Mario, I gotta talk to you about something." I said, walking into his office where he was doing some paper work.

"What's up?" He asked, not looking up from his work. I stayed silent and he soon caught on and gave me his attention. "My bad, what's going on?"

"I've just been feeling very nervous and anxious about a lot of things. Like my baby boy is gonna be going off to college soon, my baby girl's life is in danger, Christy's life is in danger. I've been feeling very out of it in general lately, and I don't know what to do." I stressed to him.

"Well first, you gotta calm down and trust that everyone's gonna be safe. Your dad and everybody is on it already. Second, JaKory is a grown ass boy now, and he's going to go off and do great things in college and excel. This is what we been raising him for; to be a respectful, successful, humble, and motivated young man, so when we're not there, he's just fine. He got a very big legacy behind him and that'll keep him motivated. You just gotta calm down and stop stressing yourself." He said. I sighed and pulled my hair back into a ponytail. "Why else you come in here?" He asked

"Well, I've been missing you. I feel like we haven't spent a lot of time together lately and i miss it. You're always working and I'm getting more busy running the salon and taking care of the kids. I miss...us."

"You're right, we've been distant. I've just been trying to secure the bag for the family and make sure that we're always straight. I'll definitely try to put in more effort. How about tomorrow night we go out to dinner at any place of you're choice. I'm gonna be all yours." He said. I smiled and went over to give him a kiss.

Gradually, we've been spending less and less time together. We barely even have sex anymore at this point. He isn't as affectionate towards me as before, and it's been making me feel very insecure. I've been wondering if he still finds me entertaining or attractive. He says it's just work so I believe him, and this date tomorrow night is going to be some great quality time together.

We talked for a few more minutes before i left the room and started walking to the family room to see what Nasir is up to. On my way there my phone started ringing and I was shocked to see who was FaceTiming me. I answered the phone as I entered the room.

"What a surprise." I smiled. I looked at Nasir as he was focused on the Iron Man movie playing on the tv.

"I know, long time no see or speak. How've you been?" Randy asked me. I sat down on the couch and let out a long sigh.

"I've been hanging in there. Focused on work and my family. How are you and your wife and kids." I asked

"I'm doing good, been working and moving on to bigger things in my life. My now ex wife and doing fine I guess. She moved to Texas with my girls." He shrugged.

"Randy, oh my. I'm sorry to hear that. Why'd y'all divorce?" I asked. They really seemed like a great couple.

"Just stopped seeing eye to eye about a lot of things. It was a mutual decision to divorce and were on good terms. She moved to Texas, but I still get the kids twice a month. It was for the better." He said, and I nodded. I'm sad for him but happy that he's ok with it.

"Man, how's Atlanta though. I kind of miss it. We had good times."

"We sure did. So many years ago when Loriana was still a baby. I bet she's grown as hell now."

"Very much. Living with her boyfriend and engaged." I said. Damn I'm getting old.

"Woah woah. That's crazy. She was just my baby girl a few years ago. She's all grown up now. I haven't seen her in years." He said.
