as a dad

Darry: he had no idea how to raise a child. He'd taken care of soda and pony, but they were already grown when he'd gotten them. He'd be overprotective of his daughter, no one except pony and soda could hold her, and he'd make sure she would never cry

Two-Bit: he lives for his daughter's laugh. He spends his days making her smile and squeal, she rarely cries, which means he's done a good job as a parent.

Steve: he takes his kids to work once they could walk, his twins are a broad magnet and the Broads offer to babysit the twins while he's working, he doesn't complain.

Dally: he's tough and cold, he may have been proud and accepted his son, but he still has a hatred for everyone in the world. He can't stand when the thing cries and screams, he makes sure to have his mother take care of him. But at least he ain't a deadbeat, he'll buys nice clothes for the baby and keeps him sheltered from dangerous areas, he won't let his son become a hood like him

Sodapop: he's more of a mother than the actual mother. He's caring and gentle with his son.

Johnny: he's afraid to even hold his own daughter, he's afraid he'll drop her or something. Sometimes he hates himself for getting angry when she bites him, he thinks he's turning into his father and he hates it. So he tries to avoid his daughter. But he knows he can't, so he just tries to care for her and have a good relationship with her

Ponyboy: he's a dad who makes dad jokes, his two year old daughter is embarrassed of him
