The next day, I woke up to find Alice in my bed again. I wasn't surprised this time. I went about my morning normally and Alice came to school with me. When we finally arrived in the school parking lot, I saw Jordan and Elizabeth waiting for me.
"Jordan! Elizabeth! Hey!" I said.
"Good morning!" Jordan said. She noticed Alice.
"Alice is with you again? Why?" She whispered so that Elizabeth couldn't hear.
"Don't worry. No one can see her but us, apparently." I explained under my breath. Jordan didn't seem that surprised.
"What's going on?" Elizabeth asked.
"Oh. Sorry, Elizabeth. It's nothing." I said. I didn't want Elizabeth to think that Jordan and I were excluding her. I knew what that felt like very well.
"Did something happen last night? Are you guys ok?" Elizabeth asked.
"Yeah, we're fine. Don't worry." assured Jordan. I felt bad for keeping things from Elizabeth, but I knew that it was for her own good.
