Yoongi Oppa: Did you open it yet?
Me: Yeah, I love it!!
Me: Thank you so much, sorry my parents got in the way of you giving it to me
Yoongi Oppa: Lol it's fine as long as you got it nowI lean against the wooden headboard behind me, the cold touch of the painted wood tingling against my exposed back from my open back shirt.
"[Y/N]! Get up!" I hear my father yell from outside my room. I raise my head slowly to see the doorknob shaking as he makes an attempt to open my locked (for obvious reasons) door. [Y/N], open your door please." I hear him demand assertively.
"One second Dad, I- I'm getting dressed!" I shout, making the lie up on the spot.
Me: Oppa
Yoongi Oppa: Did I not tell you to not call me that?
Me: Sorry, but bossy parents with bossy parents
Me: Gotta go, byyee~
Yoongi Oppa: Ok, bye!I turn off my phone and slip it into my jean pocket as I make my way to my door. I unlock the door and push it open, only to meet my tired gaze with an equally tired gaze of both of my parents, more or less patiently waiting for me to exit my room. I give a weak smile as I walk past them to grab my purse from the coffee table. As I reach down I feel a cold hand on my back.
"What are you wearing?" My mother asks, turning me around to face her.
"A... Shirt?" I ask, confused on why she's so against my purchase that I made half a month ago.
"It's extremely scandalous, you can't wear that outside. Please go change." She says, stepping away to leave a clear path towards my bedroom.
"Mother, it's fine. I've worn this before, it's no problem." I assure her, trying to push the idea that I'll be fine if I wear this outfit in public.
"No, change. Now." She says, her tone growing with anger as she lightly pushes me towards my bedroom.
I let out a defeated sigh as I walk back towards my room slowly, making sure to give a slight glare back towards my parents as they begin conversing behind me. I open my bedroom door and walk in, pulling the door closed behind me and locking it. I pull off my shirt and begin looking for another shirt that would be more 'acceptable.' I finally find a knit white long sleeved baggy shirt that works well with the blue jeans I'm wearing and slide that on. "It's not like I wasn't going to wear a jacket over my other shirt anyways," I mumble to myself grumpily as I unlock my door.
"There we go, much better." My dad says, nodding his head along with my mother.
"Yeah yeah," I say under my breath as I once again make an attempt to grab my purse.
"And no open back." My mother says proudly as I put the purse strap over my head and on my shoulder.
"What's the weather supposed to be like today, [Mother's name]?" Dad asks, going to the coat closet.
My mom pulls out her phone and scrolls through numerous things before she opens her mouth the answer. "It's going to be perfect long sleeve weather, actually. [Y/N], you shouldn't need a jacket."
"Thank you," I say, trying not to sound overly frustrated. "Where are we going anyways?"
"We met a nice family recently with a child just about your age, possibly a little older. The Kim's." My father says as he grabs his car keys off of the coffee table. "We're going to the park in town to introduce you to the family and hopefully acquaint you with their child."
Saying that we're meeting a family with the family name Kim... Well, it isn't exactly helpful as that's one of the most common family names in South Korea and a good majority of people I know have the name Kim. For all I know, I'll be meeting Namjoon Oppa at that park.
