"Dear Rachel," I started to read from my sixth get well soon card. "If you don't survive, then I'll kill you in hell." My brows raised in surprise as I looked back the cover of the card. Sunshine and Daisy's everywhere. "Naturally..." I muttered, opening the card again. "Love, Rocky." I looked up at Steve who shrugged. I shook my head and put it in the read pile.

"You know they had me play some music for you when you were asleep." He sat down in the chair beside my bed and I blinked simply. "They thought some of your favorite music would wake you up."

I almost snorted. "They let you play Lil' Uzi Vert in here?" I chuckled and he creased his eyebrows, confused. "Uh no, I don't know who..." he picked up his phone like he was going to look it up and I laughed louder, my eyes widening. "No, I'm kidding, I'm kidding." I laughed, softly holding my very numb stomach, wiping my eyes before I could start crying at his reaction. "No." I giggled a little. "What'd you play for me?"

He looked down at his phone again, clearing his throat slightly. "Uh...Camille gave me some songs that she knew you liked, Bruce too." He passed me his phone and I looked through the selection with a smile. "My very own Mother Nature Mix..." I chuckled at the title of the playlist. "From before the 2000s."

"Bruce named it." He shook his head. "I still have no idea what it means."

"To us, the term Mother Nature means the controlling of a feeling in an environment. Like the weather, y'know?" I looked up to explain and he nodded, eyebrows raised like he'd learned something new.

I looked back down at the phone. "Cheap Trick, Bobby Hebb, Bill Withers..." I smiled, shaking my head. "A-Ha? Wham?" I looked up, still shaking my head happily. "Take On Me was literally my high school anthem." I chuckled, continuing to scroll through. "This is amazing, Steve. Did I react to any of them?"

His nose crinkled and he pursed his lips slightly. "Your fingers twitched during Ain't no Mountain High Enough..." he started and I smiled. "Naturally."

"But you started coding on a Spice Girls song."

My brows raised and I looked over at his sort of sullen expression. "Can you blame me? Mel B's verse on Wannabe is a banger." I teased, trying to make him feel better about it. I put his phone on my lap and grabbed his hand with both of mine. "Steve, I'm fine, alright?" I tilted my head with a little smile. "I'm alive, and I'm well, stop worrying okay?" I chuckled a little with sincerity, wanting to see him smile. He looked at me with creased eyebrows and sort of pout. "Smile," I said. "For me. Please?" I pouted and he playfully rolled his eyes, smiling softly.

"Thank you," I said, kissing his hand.

There was a knock on the glass sliding door and we both looked over. A woman with long blonde hair coming down in spirals and a bright smile came in wearing her blue scrubs and white coat, holding a binder.
