I arrived at the market. I passed booths with fruit, jewelry, clothes, and toys. The market was very crowded. It was like a sea full of people. I got through the busy crowd and headed toward my booth. I spread out a bunch of blankets, clothes and accessories.

I put up a sign that said how much everything costs. And I waited and waited and waited. Some people came by, but not as many as usual. I sold 5 shirts and 7 blankets.
A young woman  came by. She was short and maybe the same age as me. She had wavy strawberry  blond hair and rosy checks.  Her eyes sparkled. She wore a blue dress and a black cape. She walked up to me and greeted me with a warm smile.

"Hi, I'm here to buy a blanket" Her voice was as sweet as honey. "Oh, there over here" I lead her to the blankets. I wasn't surprised to see a big pile. I've only sold a few. Today was a slow day. She picked up a pink and purple one. It was so soft as if you were touching a cloud. There were flower patterns all over the blanket. It took very long to see all of them. It had roses all over it.

"This is beautiful" the girl picked up the blanket. However she bumped into my chair and tipped over my bag. All my sewing needles fell to the floor. "I'm so sorry" she muttered. "It's fine" She was on the floor picking them up when she started staring at my ankle.

"Hey, is that a bruise on your ankle?" she asked in curiosity. "No" I almost shouted. "It's a birthmark" I quickly helped her pick up the supplies and tried to change the subject. "So are you interested in buying that blanket?" I pointed at the blanket she was looking at earlier. " How much is it?" I told her it was $15.

I hope she buys it we could really use the money. I looked at the girl. She considered it but then she grabbed my bag instead and ran. It had all the money I earned today and I need it. For a moment, I stood in shock. As if my brain couldn't process what had happened. "Stop!" I yelled. "Thief, someone stop her!" People were being pushed or ran out of the girls way. And I ran after her.
