The movie was alright (the parts I remember seeing in between spontaneous make out sessions), thankfully we seemed to have the auditorium to ourselves as I had picked a movie that's been out for a while now.

We even had fun picking up the groceries.

I expected dinner to be a little awkward considering neither of us had planned on having my brother join us...but things seemed to go smoothly, almost a little too smoothly as Patrick and my brother seemed to really get along, and by the end of the night Patrick and I were telling my brother bye and they had already set up an online session to play video games together.

"You sure it's okay if I go over to the pack house with you?" I asked, worried that he'd get into trouble.

I mean I'm not suppose to know about Were and here I was openly walking into the actual pack house.

This was going against everything I'd talked to Braxton about

"Yeah it's cool...I've had my room for more than a few years now because my mom moved us to the other side of town but I wanted to stay close so I wouldn't miss much when it came to the pack." He filled me in.

"And you said it's kinda empty?" I asked still worried I'd be seen and questioned about being there.

"I mean there are a few people staying there but not as many as at the frat house." He filled me in, "plus unlike my aunt and uncle who were the old Luna and Alpha, My cousin and Harper hardly ever visit the pack house...so if you're wanting to keep a low profile from Harper, then we're probably safest there."

"What about the other people who stay there, what if they say something?"

He laughed a little, "I'm gonna need you to relax and trust me Duchess...Weres are really fucking loyal and there's sorta this unwritten rule that's: what happens at the pack house stays at the pack house...look to be real with you If someone sees you, yes they will know you're a human and not a pack member...but no one will say anything about it unless you tried to live there."

"But a pack member taking a human to the pack house is hardly a new occurrence...however I do have to let you know they'll immediately assume we're mates since that's kinda our loop-hole to telling humans."

I looked at him, "Loop-hole?"

"Yeah, I mean we can't just go around telling whoever we want about Weres...but we also can't expect mates to work out if they aren't one hundred percent honest with one another right...so that includes us telling our human mate all about Weres...honestly it's kinda the only way a human is suppose to find out about us."

I understood now...and it made more sense why Braxton wouldn't want Harper finding out that I learned of the Weres from Elise instead of my Mate.

I could see where he was coming from.

We pulled up to these tall gates and he pressed in a code.

There was a long driveway lined with thick, tall trees...we literally looked like we were driving into the thick of the forest.

We drove on for what felt like four minutes before a huge mansion (slightly bigger than the fraternity house) came into view.

I could see now why having a couple of people here wouldn't really bother him so much.

"So I'm obviously not trying to hide us or anything, but for maximum privacy I'm going to park in the woods, if that's okay with you?"
