O’
I take

By: Michael Jonathan
_______________
the scarlet tears of pain
flow through my veins
the scarlet tears of pain
flow from my veins
the tangerine bile
fills my stomach
the tangerine bile
fills my bowl
the liquid (of flaming) emotion
builds in my eyes
the liquid (of flaming) emotion
slides from my eyes
the condensed fear
flows to my glands
the condensed fear
flows from my pores
these are the chemicals
and the works
of our emotions
these are the signs
of a heart
now broken
or a heart
now soaken
in the sea of compassion
and empathy
in the pain of this world
and suffering
these are the times
these are the lines
that make us
more than mice
but show that we
deserve less
than men
