To place a pain upon another

to place a shame upon another

to satisfy our own

to "benefit" them

this is humanity's crushing blow upon itself

I say my words of hatred and critics only perpetuating this

yet I feel justified in it

yet daily I digress from such behavior

yet I know I shall most likely never leave it

for it has a place

but o' how it corrupts our best hopes

how dare you

how dare they

take the dreams

take the desires

from another

how dare you

we build gallows for those

we build plans for your demise

for you have taken hope and broken it

if you wish to pain them

pain them in hope

pain them that have shall make there hope

yet it will be in a cost of hopes

and do this even sparingly

for the bolstering you gain is your own step up to the gallows

and if you lie in the noose

and say I mentioned to build through breaking

read to me the art of breaking and know

know you lie with lips that should be sealed

burn to one with the pains of the heart you've seared

if you lie in the noose

only tighter is shall slip

if you are in the noose you have one hope

and pray nobody decides to take that from you

like you did to them

your hope

your one hope

is to take

the hear you have broken and give yours to the restoration of it

and to do so with one goal

to heal and inspire it

so they may begin to start a hope and see it to its end

and from this you must not deviate

and you must pay your penance

you must ensure that their feet are stable

you must make their path lit

even if it takes the blood from your viens

this is your duty

this is your role

and once they are there

once they are secure

you are free but know that you crushed a hope in them

and that that may have been the hope that made them

sleep with that
