Chapter 6

" oh damn, short cake. You look different except you still didn't grow he replied smirking which earned him another glare from me

" Wait what are you doing here?" I asked him
" My dad handed his company over to me since I had inherited all his knowledge on business," he replied

"Ohhh I see, "I replied

" Angel we need to talk, give us a few minutes Jaxon,"Parker said grabbing my wrist and pulling me with him but I tore his fingers of my wrist and pushed him away

" No, No, No!! We have nothing to talk about!" I hissed at him

" Please angel-he started but I cut him of,
"Stop calling me that!"I yelled at him while backing away

" Please let me explain, just hear me out please Lia," he pleaded

" Explain what exactly Parker? You want to explain why you were such a coward.Why you chose someone you barely knew over me.Or why you decided to throw away 12 years of friendship? I asked pissed of

He took a step towards me but I quickly moved back making me bump into something... Well someone, I turned around to see Jaxon , I forgot he was still here and was staring at us confused.

"Aren't you two best friends?" He asked

"Not anymore,"I replied clenching my fist

" Angel please hear me out,"he pleaded

" Parker I am one second away from throwing the chair at your face if you say one more word to me," I snapped at him not even realizing that Jaxon's hand was on my waist and my back was pressed against his chest a very hard chest might I add ;-)

But he soon moved away and came and stood in front of me.

" Well Parker as you can see she doesn't want to talk to you so escort yourself out and let me continue with the interview cause you are wasting my time," he said and he went behind the desk and sat on the chair

"Jaxon please I just need a few minutes," he said turning to his brother

"Do you need security to show you the way out," Hayden replied looking ticked off

"You wouldn't," Parker said staring at him ridiculously

"Oh come on I did it before and I can do it again this is my company we do not share it dad gave me the responsibility not you so leave before I throw you out and cause a scene," he growled out

Parker glared at him before turning his gaze to me before sighing and he stormed out of the office slamming the door shut on his way out.

" So Miss Knight shall we start with the interview?" Hayden asked

" Yes sure,"I replied sitting down in front of him and gave him my CV

He was silent while he went through it and that made me nervous.

" Very impressive, Miss Knight, but do you still want to work here after knowing I'm going to be your boss?" he asked

" Yes Mr. Ryder I need the job,"I replied firmly

" You know Lia you look different, have you gained weight?" He asked seriously with amusement in his eyes and a smirk tugging on his lips

" Yes I did Jax , after all pregnant women do gain weight," I replied sadly

" WHATTT?!!!!" He yelled

"Omg you should've seen your face, oh gosh Jaxon did you lose your sense of humor in all these years?" I asked after I stopped laughing

Stupid bitch,he snapped
Arrogant asshole,I snapped back
Shorty, he snapped
Giant,I snapped back
Fatty,he snapped
"Oh look whose talking, you're fat too," I said pointing at his arms that was bulging out from under his shirt

He narrowed his eyes at me and got up from his seat and stalked to where I was seated and caged me in my seat leaning into me

"Short cake this is all muscle not fat," he whispered in my ear

"Pshh yeah right whatever helps you sleep at night," I replied rolling my eyes

"You don't believe me? Fine then," he said stepping away from me making me breathe properly again but then he took of his jacket, then he loosened his tie and then he....
"Omg Jax what the hell are you stripping for?!" I asked while covering my eyes

"I'm going to prove to you that I'm not fat," he said

I moved my hands from my eyes and my jaw went slack. Fuck he had an eight pack. Oh god he looked hot. He stepped towards me and I stopped breathing he took something out of his pocket and put it in my hand
When I finally pulled my eyes from his body and looked down and saw that  he gave me a handkerchief.

"Whats this for?" I asked confused

"To wipe your drool of," he replied cockily

But when I did wipe my mouth sure enough I actually was drooling. Damn it! I know my face was super red right now so with as much confidence I had left I got up and went to leave the office but Jaxon stepped in front of me so he was blocking the door

"Welcome to the company Miss Knight be here at 8am sharp with my coffee, Clara my other assistant will tell you everything you need to know," he said professionally like he wasn't standing with his shirt open in front of me.
I only managed to give a small nod and as soon he moved from the door I ran out of there and I heard his laughter behind me.

As I was walking someone called  my name making me turn around to look

"hello you must be Amelia. Mr,. Ryder said to show you around and fill you in on what's expected of you,"she said

She looked like she was in her her late 40s, she took my arm and dragged me to places and explained what I have to do and I listened intently so I wouldn't miss anything

" Now lastly this is going to be your cabin, Mr.Ryders cabin is right next to yours so its easier and everything you need is already in there," she said opening the door and I followed her in
It was quiet a spacious room and there was a great view of the city since his office was on the 20th floor at the top of the building

After chatting a bit she had to get back to work so she left.
I also wanted to leave so I went and knocked on Jaxon's door and when i didn't get an answer I opened the door to see him on the phone yelling at someone I went in and closed the door and waited for him to finish.

"Amelia, what can I do for you?" he said sounding frustrated.

"Um I was leaving cause Clara showed me everything I need to know so I just wanted to tell you I'm leaving," I said nervously while biting my lip

"Oh alright well see you tomorrow morning, don't be late," he said giving me a stern look.

"Yes sir,"I mumbled

I walked out and quickly left the building and jumped in my car and drove home thinking that tomorrow is going to be a good day and Nicole is going to be so happy just hopefully I can avoid Parker cause I'm not ready to have a long chat with him as yet.
