Chapter 10

It was Sunday night and Ginny and Harry had invited everyone over to announce that they were pregnant. Hermione was happy that Ginny was happy about her pregnancy and wished she could feel the same. Hermione knew that Ginny was still mad because Harry sent her this letter.

Dear Hermione,
So I just thought I would want you to know that Ginny is still mad... I'm not saying you guys shouldn't come but I just thought that I should warn you. Also, did you tell Fred yet? Reply with your answer and I'll make sure Ginny doesn't see this and you do the same.

Harry had sent this while Fred was at work, Hermione made sure to burn it just to be safe. She felt awful that Fred didn't know yet... She needed to tell him, she couldn't let it hang over her head. The dinner was scheduled for six so Fred was leaving early and Lee was going to close up. He would've come to dinner but he had a date. Hermione was just going to wear the same dress she had worn to the club. It was 5:00 and Fred got home. Hermione was startled when he came in and looked at the time. She had been so engrossed in her show that she didn't look at the time. She jumped up and said a bad word and Fred just laughed.

"Didn't know you swore?" He said with a grin and Hermione just rolled her eyes.

"I'm gonna take a shower, you can have the master bathroom." Hermione said folding up the blanket she had and taking her hair down.

"Or..... We could you know, take a shower together...." Fred said and Hermione started blushing. Fred gave her the 'puppy dog eyes' which he had mastered, much to Hermione's annoyance.

"Fine!" The cute couple went in to the shower and Fred washed Hermione's hair. The whole time in the shower all Hermione could think about was Ron, she and Ron's night together and how she still hadn't told Fred, it had been a week already. She had to tell him, she just had to but it was going to be so hard.

Once they were out of the shower, Hermione put on the dress that Fred had given her before they had gone to the club last week. Hermione put on light make up and Fred wore the same suit he had worn to the engagement for Ginny and Harry. Fred wasn't one known for suits.

Hermione decided to leave her hair down, yes it was frizzy but she didn't have time to straighten her afro. Fred and her went outside hand in hand and apparated with a crack to Harry and Ginny's flat. 

They landed outside of Harry and Ginny's flat and Hermione's stomach lurched. She threw up in some bushes just outside of the door. Fred gave her a mint and she willingly took it. She thanked him and he leaned down and pecked her on the lips.

"I love you Mia, you don't know how much you mean to me." He put his hand on her stomach and rubbed where his son or daughter was. He was frightened yet excited for a kid, he loved Hermione unconditionally and Hermione knew it and it just made her feel worse for what she had done with Ron. They kissed once more and then went to knock on the door hand-in-hand.

"Hey! Glad you could make it!" Harry said beaming at them.

"So what's this dinner about Harry?" Fred asked. Hermione didn't tell Fred, afraid he may kill Harry for getting his sister pregnant before they were even married.

"You'll see..." And Harry lead them inside. There was all the Weasley family there plus Luna and Neville and some people from the Order.

Everyone sat down and on the table was rolls, salad, chicken, mashed potatoes and corn.

"Wow Ginny! This looks great, thanks for inviting us!" Hermione said after glancing at all the food.

"Oh I'm so happy that you think it looks good. Your only here because Harry made me invite you." Ginny said to Hermione quietly and the only people who heard her was Fred and herself.
