Chapter 31

It was mid march and James was now a month old. The twins would be a month old in one week.

Ron and Hermione were sort of now together, much to Lavenders annoyance. Hermione liked Ron but she would never forget Fred, he just had something about him. She is constantly pushing him from her mind and is trying to live as normal of a life as possible considering.

Everyone still had no idea where the last stone might be. They checked hogwarts (under disguise just in case someone comes across them) which was still in ruins and it wasn't their.

No one had heard any word from or about Fred and they accepted the fact that he had moved to the dark side. Mrs. Weasley still cried every day though and Percy was as quiet as he was when George died.

"We need to get the stones!" Hermione said while they were plotting ideas one night at the dinner table in Grimmauld Place.

"We don't know where they are!!" Lavender exclaimed. This was about the seventieth time that her and Lavender have had this discussion.

"So let's check Hogwarts!" After a long discussion and arguments, it was decided that they would be traveling to Hogwarts tomorrow.

It was 11:34 and everyone had eaten breakfast. They were getting ready to go to Hogwarts and look for the stone.

The four baby's were ready; James, Nymphadora, George and Teddy. Everyone had their traveling cloaks and went out of Grimmauld Place and apparated on the spot. All the mothers or fathers of the baby's held them for a along side apparation.

When they landed in Hogsmeade, they quickly traveled up to Hogwarts, not wanting to be seen by any one.

It was still destructed and sadly looking. Hermione sighed, and they walked into the castle.

They split into teams of two and left Fleur and Padma with the baby's. They checked every nook and cranie they could think of. Ron and Hermione went to the 4th floor. Once they are alone, they began to snog.

"I love you Hermione." He said as he put his hands around her waist. She put her arms over his neck.

"I think I love you Ron." She said with a light peck on the lips.

"You still just think?" He sighed.

"Yeah, I'm sorry..." She said. He continued kissing her anyways. "But you will help me raise the twins?" She asked in a pleading voice. He nodded and kissed her back.

"Oi!" Seamus shouted and ran towards them. They broke apart, both of their faces going scarlet. "Stop snogging will you?"

"Sorry mate..." Ron mumbled.

"Well we had no luck, did you?" He asked just as Parvati caught up with him.

Since none of them had any luck, they went back to the great hall to meet everyone. Well what used to be the Great Hall. Fleur and Padma were there, playing with the baby's. George was already fussy so Hermione took him instantly and fed him. About ten minutes later, everyone was back at the great hall.

"Any luck?" Sirius and Hagrid asked.

"Nope." Everyone else replied.

"Guys, I just had an idea..." Ginny said. Everyone looked to her, including James and Teddy, who she was holding. "Well, could the stone possibly be in The Chamber of Secrets?" Everyone looked at her for a moment.

"Maybe..." Hagrid said wearily.

"I don't know..." Harry said, thinking it over.

"Well I'm not going in there!" Ron said, Ginny sighed.

"Well someone should, I mean it is worth a try, isn't it?" Hermione said.

Harry thought about this for a moment and came to a conclusion. "Four of us go down, check, and if we find nothing, we come back."

"Who will go?" Bill asked.

"Well me because I speak parseltounge. Hermione, Dean and Seamus. Oh fine then, and Charlie!" He said when Charlie raised his hand. Everyone nodded and headed to the Moaning Mrtlye's bathroom.

Padma, Parvati, Fleur and Cho watched all the kids in the great hall, while the others went inside. Harry used parseltounge and opened the chamber, then he jumped in, then Dean, then Seamus, Charlie (who was frightened but determined) and then Hermione who screamed as she went down the chute.

Once they landed on solid ground, Harry lead the way. Everyone held there wands high, light coming out of them. They walked all through the chamber, and said Accio stone. Nothing happened (as Hermione had predicted) and then they had to look for it the muggle way.

An hour later and they had no luck. They were about to head back when there was a clinking noise nearby. Or maybe it was far away and echoed, they weren't sure.

"Hello?" Charlie called out. No answer.

"Is someone there?" Dean called. No answer again but it sounded as though there were footsteps approaching.

"Uhh guys, get your wands ready." Hermione said nervously. Everyone pulled there wands out.

"Lumos." Seamus muttered and everyone followed him. They couldn't see anything but kept hearing footsteps. Out of no where, there was a shoot of green light that missed Harry by inches. Another shoot of green light that nearly hit Charlie. Harry recognised this as the death curse.

"RUN!!" He yelled, everyone ran without hesitation toward the way out. Spells were still being shot towards them but missing them by inches.

Meanwhile, back in the bathroom Sirius, Ron, Bill, Ginny and Professor McGonigall are waiting for them. Everyone else went back to looking for the stone. All of a sudden there is a clanking noise in the bathroom stall. Everyone whipped there heads around so fast that you could hear the cracking of necks.

There was Moaning Myrtle, she was sticking her head out of one of the toilets.

"Hello there, haven't seen you in a while!" She says with a giggle, floating towards Ron. "What are you doing here?"

"Looking for something, Harry, Dean, Seamus, Hermione and Charlie are inside there."

"Oh?" She asked in her annoying voice. "But the blonde haired family went in there with some others."

"What?" Sirius said, alert.

"Yup. The same boy who used to cry in here." She said and then went back to her toilet. "Only, they didn't know I was here." She said as she popped her head out of the toilet again.

"Was it Malfoy?" Ron asked alarmed.

"I believe that's the name. They were talking about getting a stone and bringing someone back to life."

"Oh no..." Professor McGonigall muttered. Everyone looked around eachother, there eyes wide. Then they heard a scream. Ron recognised that scream.

"HERMIONE!!" He yelled back down to her and jumped down the chute.
