Chp 5- Misunderstandings......

Mystery man's POV..

My heart sank seeing her faint again.....she was so weak....it seems that she hasn't eaten any thing since days...she must have surely be kidnapped....how cruel is it..to kidnap a bride...she must have gone through a lot...I need to help her... I feel too bad for her..."W...w..water"....she cried for water making my heart skip a bit....I helped her......she is just a naive little child.....the way she cried...the way she ate... The way she thought....the way she reacted...she is such an innocent baby.......her stubbornness made her more cute......
The way she was scared....ohh man...
It has been hours since she is roaming here...in the jungle....dont know what will be his husband's condition... He must have gone mad...like seriously... Getting your loved one kidnap is the biggest attack on our little sensitive heart......Who else can know this better then me...Calming my emotions.... Burying that long dead memory deep inside the graves of my heart I swallowed the lump formed in my throat ....
Ignoring the cries of my heart I tried concentrating on my present......
"Let's find you a way out before that kidnapper finds you or your husband...dies worrying for you..."..as these words left my mouth her face changed....her jaw fell..and her mouth remained open...Did I said something wrong??..."wh..wh..What are you talking about??"she said, between her laughter....
"umm ... "I thought for a while....and it clicked me...silly me.."ohh yea...sorry your fiancé...you wasn't married..yet."I cleared...out...
"m...my fiancé....hahahha....he will be worrying for me!!"her fake laughter echoed the whole room....
She started laughing vigorously..."worrying about me!"she whispered...pointing her index finger towards her heart. My eyes didn't missed that glassy effect in her eyes...What's wrong???
"hey-what do you mean...?I asked in confusion..

"I-...h...he is not my fiancé...."she said with the coldest tone....sinking me deeper in pool of confusion...
"He....no actually... I-"before her words could save me from the pool of confusion......a bang entered the streets of my ear....causing me to scream in irritation...What was that voice...?I looked at her who was also irritated like me....our eyes met.... Sharing a questioning look we rushed out to see what's wrong......
As our steps reached the entrance of the cave....the same loud bang entered our ears following the roar of an animal...maybe a lion..our eyes met again....the same unknowing look... Reflected her innocence... "dishkiyaaaaooooooonn"was that a gun shot?...before I could find a conclusion...another gun shot distracted me....her scream...added the cherry on the cake....my eyes landed on her.... Who not only closed her ears but was also shivering with fear..."hey are you alright.."I asked her placing my palm on her shoulder...but before her words could enter in my ears another gun shot did a blast in my ears...she turned with a jerk hugging me tight as if her life depends on me....."plzz just stop this....."she whispered whimpering..I couldn't help but pat her back to soothe her.. The cool breeze hit the layers of our skin.....Her hold tightened around me......I closed my eyes.... After a micro second we realized how close we were to each other.....I loose my hold around her and she also withdrew herself taking a step backwards...
.She turned her back towards me and kept on walking.I couldn't help but stare at her back...but before she could go ahead...A gun shot echoed in the forest as its bullet kissed the branch of the tree...My eyes landed on her who was standing just below that tree...I could see the branch falling...Ohh God!!!..

Author's POV..

The branch was ready to fall on her head....but before it could happen...He pulled her to himself.......on one hand the branch landed on the the ground and on the other she landed in his arms...unable to control the proximity between them..His leg slipped.. He landed on the ground at his back....with her on his chest...His eyes met hers.....arousing several butterflies in her stomach...His breath hitched.....they stayed in the same position.searching something in each others eyes for about 5 seconds...but the gunshots did brought them back to reality...she got up with a jerk...but before she could stand up completely he pulled her wrist...making her fall on him again...her eyes widened and her face expressed a question mark...he sat up... With his grip still on her wrist...He sat up on his knees and started walking on four legs just like an animal...hiding under the bushes.."what are you-"she tried questioning him but before her question could end he pressed his palm on her mouth...he leaned forward...their faces were inches far."shhhh....dont you hear the gunshots...they are hunters....shooting here and there hopelessly..if you get up there you can be injured...so just keep quiet and copy me..."...he whispered and she just gave a nod..he started walking on four legs again...with her behind him..still holding her wrist like his life depends on her......the gunshots became more continuous..He increased his speed..but she found it difficult to do an animal walk on a ground full of stones..and especially in this outfit... still she didn't let her patience lose...but she failed as the sharp rock entered in her toe..."AAH"she winced seeking his attention..."Hey what's wrong...?"....the gunshots were heard quite often...blowing down the branches and trees.."we need to get away as fast as possible...please be fast.."With that he kept on moving without noticing her bleeding toe.. And she also didn't informed him instead bearing the pain she kept on struggling and trying to catch up his speed.Who knew How difficult was it for Innayah to walk on four legs with such a pain..tears pooled up in her eyes..but she didn't uttered a word...His eyes found a dark cave nearby. But they couldn't reach their like this.they will have to stand up and walk up there.."hey "He turned to talk to her but her tears hit something in his heart... "hey what's wrong"...she squeezed her eyes to stop her tears....and soothe up the pain...he wiped her tears with his thumb...caressing her cheek.."shhhh....tell me what's wrong.."He asked in his most gentle tone.."I can't go ahead anymore...I...I. can't bear it now..."....she stuttered in pain."but what's hurting you so much..?"He asked... And she pointed on her toe..which was covered with blood...His eyes grew wide and his jaw touched the ground...seeing the injury on her toe..."What the....Are you crazy? "she gave him an evil questioning look."I...I..can't walk anymore..!"
"we can't sit here..it isn't safe."
He said.
"You can go alone."She gave him an irritated look,stood up,took a deep breath and carried her in his arms as if she was his bride.....Her eyes grew wide.voluntarily her hand clutched his collar...making him skip a beat..But was it so easy to cross the way to the cave?Would he be able to save her as well as his own life...?Will they survive from these bullets flying in the sky?...

"Thanksss. Cunning fox.."she replied and turned over...

"You are a spooky halloween pumpkin!"listening to his words she turned completely...

"What!I am not as fat as pumpkin!"
Seeing his words work he grinned and replied
"Oh yes you are not fat as pumpkin...."
