Kat's POV

Edward left me in the room for what felt like hours before the door beeped, a click being heard as it unlocked itself. I knew better than to go through it, nothing good would come of it I was sure and I proved myself right as Edward's voice rang through the speakers.

"Go on, open the door." He urged me but I stood still, having no want to play in his pitiful games.

"Not a chance Nygma." I hissed before a shock ran through my body, this time starting at my neck. My hands immediately flew to my neck to find a collar of some sort clasped around my neck, I was surprised that I hadn't noticed this before.

"Wrong answer." He chuckled. "Try again?" The jolt of the shock had thrown me to the ground so I slowly got back up, my throat throbbing already. I didn't argue this time, it wasn't worth it, my hand was shaky as it reached the doorknob and as my fingers grazed the metal I was thrown back by another electric shock.

"Ok really? What is it with you and electricity? I mean your power bill must be through the roof." I shouted into the roof only for him to respond with a measly laugh.

"That one was purely for my amusement, try again." I roll my eyes with a scoff and grab onto the doorknob, forcefully throwing the door open and stepping through the threshold into a dimly lit hallway. I followed a horribly cheesy trail of question marks before reaching a table that had a plate of food and water but I eyed with skepticism. "It's not poisoned if I wanted to kill you I most certainly wouldn't do so with poison." I rolled my eyes and ate what was there.

"Alright let's get this over with." I sighed, having finished the meal and the stupid question marks started to light up. They lead me to what I assumed was the tests he'd spoken about hours ago. I got all the way to yet another door, this one with a large obnoxious question mark. "Edward Nygma if this door shocks me I am going to-" The collar on my neck sent electricity through me rather than the door. "Edward!" I screeched.

"Ready for the first challenge?" I didn't even answer him as I opened the door, finding nothing but an empty space.

"I'm not really seeing a challenge-" I screamed as the floor beneath me began to give out and I was forced forward to avoid it.

"It's only just beginning, now would you like to listen to the rules or are you going to interrupt me and fall into the water so cold that you are guaranteed to develop hypothermia in?" He asks me and I groan.

"Ok, what're the rules?" I exclaim, exasperated.

"Well, it's simple enough for someone of even your intelligence to comprehend."

"The reason you want me here is that you think I'm smart and now you're calling me dumb, buddy make up your mind." The floor I was standing on began to give out and I was forced to move again. "Ok sorry I'll listen to the rules." My heart rate increased as I glanced down at the freezing cold water that I'd be submerged in if I stepped out of line again.

"As I was saying, if you get my riddles right the floor boards will remain stable but if you get them wrong the boards starting with the ones closest to the other door." My attention was drawn to another door I hadn't noticed before. "Will disappear, leaving you to jump in order to reach safety, if you get more than three wrong I'm afraid you'll be swimming to the door and with temperatures as cold as these it'd be approximately thirty seconds before you freeze to death. Shall we begin?" I gulped, trying desperately to swallow the nervous lump in my throat as I took a look at how far the door was from me.

"And what if I don't want to play this game I could just run-" Before I got the chance to run to the door the platform directly infront of me gave out, my foot slipping into the water and I immediately took it out, stranded on the floor I'd already been standing on.
