"Mani, you're up," Lauren said as she exited the dressing room and sat on the couch next to Dinah, snuggling into her side. Normani took her phone off the charger and made her way into the dressing room to get her hair and makeup done, leaving the other three girls in the room. Everyone was occupied with their phones except Lauren. 'The tables have turned,' Lauren thought to herself.
She glances around the room and furrowed her eyebrows when she realized one girl was missing. "Where's Camz?" She asked to no one in particular. "She went get something out of the bus," Dinah answered as she stood up and walked across the room to the snack table. Lauren pouted when she lost her cuddle buddy and pulled out her phone.
Her pout grew when she pressed the home button and saw her lock screen. It was a picture of her and Y/n. They were laying down in bed and Lauren had her face buried in his neck. The smiles on their faces were huge, the exact opposite of the face she was making now. She had been on tour for almost four months now and Y/n hadn't been able to join them, busied with finishing up his final exams before graduating from college. They had arranged for him to join them in two weeks when he was officially finished with college but Lauren didn't know how much longer she could wait.
They had been constantly texting, calling, and FaceTiming since she left, yet the distance was still getting to her. She furrowed her eyebrows when she realized she hadn't received a single text or call from her boyfriend all day. She unlocked her phone just to be sure and grew confused when the last text she had received from him was a goodnight text the previous day.
She sighed and sent him a quick text, hoping for a quick reply.
Lauren🌹:
Hey, baby. Haven't heard from you all day. Miss you so much. Call me when you see this please.Lauren didn't know how long she stared at her phone, waiting for the message to be read and the three dots to pop up, indicating he was typing. She sighed when they never did and put her phone down. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back into the couch, trying to relax, but that didn't last long. The door the led the the back of the venue swung open and Camila came in with a wide smile. "Hey, Lo. Guess what I found," the brown eyed girl said, hiding something behind her back. Lauren gave her a confused look, not really in the mood for guessing games.
"What?" Lauren asked the girl who was rocking back and forth on her heels. Lauren's smile grew wide when she pulled Y/n's bottle of cologne out from behind her back. She jumped up and grabbed it from her. "Where'd you find this?" Lauren asked as she smelled it and sighed in content at the familiar smell. "I found it in the back lounge when I was looking for my phone charger. He must've forgot it from the last time he came with us. Weren't you complaining the other night about how the sweatshirt he gave you didn't smell like him anymore?" Camila asked he girl with a smile.
"Yea," Lauren answered, opening the bottle and spraying a little on her wrist before smelling it again.
"Well, now you can spray it with that. You're welcome," Camila said as she smirked at Lauren.
"Or you could give me back that sweatshirt and I'll trade you this one." Lauren's eyes widened when she heard the familiar voice from behind her. She turned around slowly with her fingers crossed, praying this wasn't one of Dinah's pranks. Her smile grew impossibly wide when she saw her boyfriend standing there, sweatshirt in hand. She squealed before running to him and jumping into his arms, burying her face in his neck.
Y/n laughed and hugged the girl close to him. The other three girls in the room awed at the couple as they embraced each other. Lauren pulled back and cupped Y/n's cheeks, pulling him into a gentle kiss.
"When did you get here?" She asked when they pulled away. "Like half an hour ago," Y/n chuckled, setting the girl back on her feet. "You were in on this weren't you?" Lauren asked, turning back to Camila. Camila smiled and shrugged, zipping her lips tight and throwing away the key. Lauren turned back to Y/n and led him to the couch, pushing him down first before laying next to him. "What about college?" Lauren asked, remembering why he couldn't be here in the first place.
"I got out of two finals because of my averages in those classes and the rest of my professors let me take the exams early. I'm finished, baby," Y/n explained, pulling Lauren further into his side.
"I'm so fucking proud of you," Lauren praised, pulling him into another kiss.
