I open my eyes and look at the cave ceiling. I try to keep them open longer, but I'm too weak and I lose consciousness again. This has been happening to me a lot lately. I want to open my eyes again and see the beautiful blue sky, but I can't. But then, one day, I find that I can open my eyes and have gained enough strength to speak.

"Peeta?" I say in a raspy voice.

"Prim!" He gives me a big hug.

"How long have I been out?"

"About 2 or 3 days."

My stomach rumbles.

"Here, eat some meat." Peeta laughs.

I eat a turkey leg and some nuts.

"How many people have died?"

"Well, the day you passed out, the careers from 1 and 2 died, and Rue," I wince at this subject. "Then on the second day, the boy from District 3 died, and no one died yesterday."

"So that's means the boy from 11, and both from 6 and 9 are alive." I say.

"Yeah." Peeta replies.

I notice my thigh, head, and arm are wrapped in bandages.

"Are my wounds bad?" I ask Peeta.

"I'm not exactly a healer, but they didn't look too bad."

"Did you put ointment on them?"

"No. Oops."

I laugh. Then I unwrap the bandages and rub some ointment on them, which makes me feel better. Then, a few minutes later, my stomach starts to hurt.

"Peeta, my stomach hurts." I moan.

He feels my forehead. "Your head isn't warm."

I look in my medical kit. There are only fever pills, and there are also some liquids, but nothing for my stomach.

I start to tear up. "It hurts. Really bad."

Then, on top of everything, my head is feeling like it's pounding inside my skull.

"Now my head hurts, too."

Peeta puts my head in his lap. "It's ok." He whispers. He hands me a bottle of water.

Suddenly, I see a parachute floating down into the cave.

"Open it, Peeta." I say weakly.

He hands it to me and I struggle with the strings. Peeta helps me.

Once we open the parachute, I see that it contains a note and some pills. I read the note, which says: Use the liquid bottle marked MORPHLING. It's a painkiller. Use it after you drink this medicine. Good luck. -H

"It's from Haymitch. He says that we should use the liquid marked morphling because it a painkiller." I tell Peeta.

"Sounds good."

I take two pills and drink some water, but my stomach still hurts. Then I fill up a syringe with morphling.

"Can you do it?" I ask Peeta.

"Of course." He says.

Then he sticks the needle in my arm and my eyes start to feel heavy. I lay down on the sleeping bag and fall asleep.
