•Chapter 11- A Shattered Reunion

It was Saturday afternoon when I heard the doorbell ring. Did Cherry invite someone? What if his parents are visiting? Uwahh... "I'll get the door." I followed Karma to the front door and he opened it and there was Tamako Meiko. "M-Meiko~chan?" I looked at her with disbelief. "Hisashiburi (long time no see), Karma~kun, Y/n~chan." Karma invited Meiko inside. "It's been a really long time... How's it going with the two of you?" Meiko asked. She's so different... Yeah it's been two years and a month but still...
"We're both in E-class in Kunugigaoka but it's going well. How about your school, Meiko~chan?" I inquired. "Okayaki is a nice school. I'm kind of glad I transferred." She replied. "....I'm gonna be right back..." Karma sped up the stairs and Meiko glanced after him.
"You really annoy me Y/n~chan." Meiko suddenly said surprising me. "When I told Karma~kun that I liked him he said he didn't like me that way and he didn't want to hurt you. He even brought up the fact that he liked you. What pissed me off was that he never confessed to you. I could understand that he didn't like me but the reason he didn't want to be in a relationship with you because he didn't want to hurt me. It was fucking annoying seeing you two be so close." Meiko spat standing up and grabbing the neck of my shirt.
"Are you together now? Now that I'm out of the picture he must've told you by now. You're even here living in his house." Meiko's voice was full of venom with every word she spoke. Does she still like Cherry? Even now?
"If you aren't together then let me be with him. He'll do anything you want after all." I attempted to pull Meiko's hand off my shirt but her grip was tight. "I... Can't do that. I..If this is how you act than... You aren't for Cherry. Either way he.. He isn't an item you can hand over. And I'm sorry but... He doesn't like you that way."
There was a gun shot and a pink pellet grazed Meiko's cheek.
"That was a warning shot, next time I won't miss~" Karma was on the stairs with a gun given by the Ministry of Defense in hand. "A-A gun? Y-You're insane..." Meiko trembled letting me down. "Wasn't I always though~ And I don't appreciate you threatening Y/n~neko. So how about forgetting this happened and go home. Telling the police won't be necessary~ So I suggest you leave. Now." Meiko bolted to the door and out of the house.
Karma sighed, "I didn't think that this was gonna happen but I needed to make sure. I'm sorry for that Y/n~neko... Are you okay?" He asked going down the remaining steps. "Yeah... It just surprised me that she changed so much..." I replied. "So what are you planning on doing now?" He inquired. "Study." I replied. "Eh? What am I supposed to do while you study? I'm gonna be bored.." Karma pouted. "Aren't you usually alone though?" I questioned running up the stairs knowing I shouldn't have said that.
"And I'm called a jerk? Y/N~NEKO!" I raced into the room I was staying in but Karma slid in tripping me and he fell on top of me due to not being able to control his speed. "Get off of meeee!" I whined. "Nope. I'm not letting you study." He stated. "You're heavyyy, GET OFFFF!!!" I shouted. I tried getting up but I failed each time I tried. "At least lift your head up! I can feel your breathe down my neck!" I complained. "You're on the bottom, remember~" He tormented. "I'm gonna die with my face facing down... This isn't how I thought my life would end..." This is such a terrible death... So lame...
"Fine, I'll get off of you but you aren't studying." As soon as he got off of me I lurched forward to my schoolbag. "Y/n~neko what did I say!" I was being dragged out of the room by my legs but I still had a hold on my school bag. "You're so unfairrr!" I whined. "Well you didn't listen to me~" I helplessly got dragged into Karma's room and was finally let go of.
"I NEED TO STUDY! GO DO SOMETHING BY YOURSELF!" I shouted. "But that's what I always do~ You're here now so I wanted to spend time with you..." I rolled my eyes, "Being cute won't stop me from needing to study. I already know your 'charming' tactics." I said. "I'll have to think of something else... For now..." He took my schoolbag away from me. "EH?! Give it back!" I ordered standing on my tippy toes trying to retrieve my bag. "...Taking your bag by force will have to do." I gave up trying to grab my bag knowing that I wouldn't be able to take it...
"I surrender. Now what's so important that couldn't wait 'till after I finished studying?" I sighed. "I don't know, I just didn't want you to study." He replied. "...Give me my bag back than." I said. "I don't really want to~" WHY ARE YOU DOING THISSSS?!
"I have an idea! How about think of something we can do while I study, and you can tell me once you think of something, 'kay?" I feel like I'm talking to a child right now... "Fine, here." He gave me my schoolbag. I was about to leave his room but... "Wait Y/n~neko, study here~" And there goes my plan of going into 'my' room, locking the door, and studying... "I ruined your plan, didn't I~." I could just picture him with devil horns... He is the Devil on Earth though.
I turned around and sighed. I plopped down on Karma's bed and took out my studying materials. When it comes to tests as important as the midterms, I study a grade above but my test scores don't end up super amazing since I always forget what I had studied... That won't be acceptable this time! I have to good on the midterms!
With that in mind to encourage me I began my studies...
But before long I was interrupted by Karma... *Sigh*
