•Chapter 40- Remember Princess Y/n!

Your POV
"Uwah! I can't believe our class is up soon!" Don't get me wrong, I was excited, but I was kinda nervous... "Then you won't call me commoner! The play ends with me-" I pressed a finger to Karma's lips. "Shh. That's a spoiler." He tilted his head, "We went over the script multiple times, how is anything I say about it a spoiler?" That's kinda hard to explain...

"Beyond the fourth wall of our universe there's multiple people listening. Sometimes they can't hear us so they might have no idea what happens at the end of the play. They might not even hear the play because the autho- The 'God' of this world is lazy and cuts forward in time!"

Karma looked at me as if I was crazy. "You desperately need help."

"Y/n~chan! Get over here!! Your hair and makeup need to be done! You have to wear your dress too!" I was dragged away by Kaede. "Since when were we doing my hair? I though I was putting on blush and that's it!!" I whined. "You said you wanted everyone to remember you, right? I'm gonna send you off with a pop!"

Kaede started the play off as she did many times before in rehearsals.

Y/n: Hello, are you here to speak with my parents?

Karma: Oh, hello princess. I was thinking about speaking with the king and queen, but if you're here, I'll talk to you first.

Y/n: *Taken back* If you have something you would like to say to me, you must meet with my parents first.

Sugino walks onto the stage.

(Knight Sugino) Tomohito: Princess Y/n! Where are you going alo- Eh..? What are you doing here, Karma?

Y/n: *Confused* You know this boy, Tomohito?
I've practiced this multiple times but calling Sugino by his first name is still weird!

Karma: I'd rather be referred to as a ma-

Tomohito: *Glares at Karma and then sighs* I don't talk about my family much, but yes, hime. He's my son...

Karma: Why so disappointed to say that, hmm?

Tomohito: You're in the presence of the princess, Karma. Don't act so childish.

Y/n: Well, I must get going to Rio's. Your son wanted to speak with my parents so please discuss why he wishes to do so if you could, Tomohito. I'll be back before dinner,

I ran backstage and the scene ended.

Scene 2 began immediately after Karma and Sugino came backstage and I changed and went on stage.

Karma comes back on stage and in the story he enters my room through the window.

Karma: I hear you're busy meeting with princes nearly every day. It isn't new news that you're getting married in the near future. I was thinking you could do with a change of pace. To get to know someone like me. It's tiring meeting with all those princes, is it not?

Y/n: Though it does get fatiguing time to time, what interest would I have getting to know someone like you?

Now, for my favorite four words in the play. The first words that Karma say.

Karma: A commoner like me is much more fun than a prince~ You get to know a prince for a day and decide if he's right based off of that, but how about getting to know someone over time?

HE ADMITS HE'S A COMMONER! HAHAHA!

The play went by fast but I was sure the first and second years would remember me. I had a lot of fun and by the looks of it, so did everyone else.
