•Chapter 25- A Game of..

Your POV
"Today in PE we are going to try playing a new game." Karasuma~sensei scanned over the class. Full attendance, and yes, I'm saying that Karma is attending PE today. He looked oddly excited... Which was very worrying. Well earlier Karasuma~sensei did say that the game was called murder... The name sounds familiar, I might've played it before.

"There are going to be two murderers and two cops. The murderers will be wielding a rubber knife while the cops will be having a gun." Oh God... I remember this game now... I pray to God that Cherry doesn't get the role of being a murderer!

Karasuma~sensei continued to explain the rules of the game. (A/n- please tell me you've watched Gary's mod murder or Minecraft murder, I don't want to further explain the rules since I'm lazy af. Might explain some stuff during the game though.)

"Draw a stick and whatever is on the stick is your role. Make sure to take your stick with you. When you get your role stay seated until everyone has their role assigned." With that Karasuma~sensei gave a cup to Maehara.

The cup was passed around and then it reached me. I drew a stick and saw that I was a witness. I just have to try not to be killed by the murderers... And not be suspicious and get shot by one of the cops. "We will probably only get to one round today unless the murderers get caught or they take everyone down. Now, begin!" Everyone scattered at Karasuma~sensei's command.

Trust no one in this game. It's best to stay on my own. Quiet, fast, and stealth. That's the key to winning this game. Especially stealth. If I keep that mindset the game should be easy and I won't die. But that all depends on who's the murderer.

But it's also a good idea to be in a group... If someone in that group is the murderer and kills someone the remaining people can run away learning who's one of the two murderers. Well, if there's a group who in their right mind would kill someone? The murderer wouldn't be able to do anything! Hmm... Change of plans, I have to scope out a group of people. That doesn't include Karma or Nagisa... Those two may get away with killing an entire group if they are murderers of course.

I really hope the murderers aren't working together... That would be really bad. I kept walking forward and sometimes made slight turns until...

I saw Kaede on the ground with a red blob on her shoulder. "When someone has a red blob on them that means the murderer killed them. Since they're dead you can not talk to them." Because of that I had to walk right past her.

Who went in this relative direction? I remember seeing Nagisa, Maehara, Hara, and Yada going this way. None of them really revealed any emotion when they got their role. I know one person out of the four that could've done this but then it would mean Kaede was that first person's victim. I have to see if those four are anywhere near each other, I may be on to something!

I kept moving forward looking ever so often up in the trees for anyone that may be wanting to try a surprise attack.

As I was walking on I began to believe that my theory about one of the murderers was true. Maehara, Hara, and Yada were all down with a red blob on them. Why the hell does one of the murderers have to be Nagisa? I'm so screwed... But if Karma's the second murderer I'm gonna freaking flip. Karma went the opposite direction from Nagisa so I won't be able to find out for awhile. First I have to be rest assured that Nagisa is down.

With the small amount of courage I had, I forced myself to continue on. Please tell me there's someone other than Nagisa~kun here... And don't let it be the second murderer!

"Y/n~chan!" I flinched at the sound of a voice. Rio's voice. I quickly turned around. "Rio~chan you scared me! Wait.. Are you a murderer?" I scrambled backwards seeing that her hands were behind her back. "Just the opposite, I'm a cop." She revealed the contents of her hands and she did indeed have a gun.

"Have you figured out who any of the murderers are yet?" I asked. "Not yet, I did see a few people on the other side down, I ran into Isogai~kun and he's the other cop. We decided that he'll take that side and I'll take this side." Rio answered. "I'm pretty sure I know who one of the killers are." I informed. "Who?" She asked. "Nagisa~kun." I replied. "It seems pretty likely from what I've seen so far, I'll remember to be wary of him."

"Can I trust you with something Y/n~chan?" Rio inquired. "Of course! So, what do you need?" I asked. "Say I get killed by one of the murderers... Will you take over my role?" I widened my eyes at Rio's request. "I-I guess I will. I really hope you'll be able to get Nagisa~kun for taking out Kaede~chan though... Anyways! We shouldn't stay in a single spot for too long, let's get moving!" I exclaimed and the both of us went on together.

"Who do you think might be the second murderer?" I asked. "I wasn't on the other side for too long so I don't really know... Isogai~kun has more clues than I do." Rio suddenly stopped and kneeled down. "Y/n~chan kneel down!" She whisper-hissed. I did as Rio asked. There was dead silence but then I picked up a voice.

"There aren't many left. I took out at least half the class, what about you, Nagisa~kun?" I completely froze, that was Karma's voice! He's the second murderer! "I did too but... Have you seen L/n~chan and Nakamura~chan?" I heard Nagisa ask. "I haven't, but I do know one thing. Either Y/n~neko or Nakamura have a gun." It's two against two...

"I'm gonna snipe them." Rio said quietly. "What if you miss then they'll know where we-" She shook her head. "I know I can hit one of them. And if whoever's remaining gets me then... Good luck Y/n~chan." I wanted to say something but I knew I couldn't. We would have at least one person down and... I couldn't think of any other plan, one of us would be taken out one way or another.

"Three... Two... One..." A blue pellet cut through the air and hit Nagisa. That leaves Cherry to me... Rio tossed the gun to me. "Run Y/n~chan!" I gave her a nod and ran.

And ran.

And ran.

I finally stopped to catch my breath but then scrambled up a tree. Unfortunately...

"Y/n~neko, I know you're here~ Come out!" I slowed my breathing and then held my breath. "You could shoot me right now from wherever you are, I have to find you in order to win." It was a way to obvious trap- if you were a fool.

It was Karma who we're talking about. He must be somewhere where it'll be difficult to shoot. I scanned the area to find him. He wasn't anywhere. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck rise. "Behind you~" I felt a warm breath on my ear and jumped out of the tree. "Be more careful, I could've got you." He jumped down from the tree.

I had the gun slanted slightly upwards by my knee. "Well sir, you're gonna have to pay for your crime." He gave a big cocky grin. "Are you sure about that officer~?" Three... Two... One... I pulled the trigger and a blue pellet flew upward but was blocked by his knife. "So close, but not enough." This time I didn't leave any seconds or hesitations between my actions. I pointed slightly under his neck then fired.

Again,

and again,

and again.

There was a cloud of blue smoke. I pulled the trigger once more just in case.

The blue smoke cleared up and Karma was left coughing, with a blue mark right under his neck. "You.. Win.." He coughed. "Told you that you'd have to pay~" I grinned.

I shot a pellet into the air and a few minutes later Karasuma~sensei appeared. "Good job L/n~san, which cop was the gun from?" He asked. "Rio~chan." I replied. "Take out the blue pellets and I'll put the pink ones back in." I nodded and did as I was told. "Can the two of you get everyone to assemble by the track?" Karasuma~sensei requested. "Sure!" I answered. "Come on Cherry~"

"Do we have to..?" He complained. "I won so I could make you go do it by yourself." I giggled. "I'll take the other side you take this side!" He dashed off.
