You and Geno were on your way to your way to your sister’s lake house to visit your family. Geno was really excited because you guys were planning to tell your family that you were 4 months pregnant. Geno loves kids and was so excited to be a dad.

“You’ll get some experience this week, G.” you tease, “My sister has 4 kids and all.” You smile at him from the passenger seat of the car.

“So fun.” He says smiling back at you. He reaches for your hand as you two enjoy the relaxing drive to the lake house.

You got there just in time for lunch. When you pulled up to the beautiful house you saw just about everyone in your family. The kids were chasing each other with the hose getting cooled off on the hot summer day. You smelled the grill cooking hamburgers and hot dogs. You waved to your brother-in-law who was preparing the food. Your mom walked up to you guys and gave you both big hugs greeting you all.

“Y/N! I missed you!” your mom said hugging you.

“Missed you too, mom!” You said hugging her back tightly. She gave Geno a hug and said the same.

Geno said he was going to grab a beer and go talk with the guys by the grill. You gave him a quick kiss and headed inside to help the women of the family prepare the rest of the food.

You were chatting about life and Geno’s work and how you were excited to leave for Russia next week. You and Geno were going back for a month to visit family. You were cutting fruit for a fruit salad while your mom and sister prepared other things around you.

“Okay, I think it’s all done. Let’s put it outside on the table so everyone can get to it.” Your sister said.

You carried the bowl of fruit outside and looked out into the yard to see Geno soaking wet giggling and chasing the children.

“Lunch is ready!” your sister yells out to the yard for everyone to come get food.

Geno and the kids walk up to the porch laughing and dripping wet.

“Hey.” You said smiling at Geno.

“Hi.” He says grinning at you like he was four.

“Having fun?”

“Lots. Can’t wait til ours is here. Play all the time.” He said putting a hand to your stomach thoughtfully.

“Wait! Aunt Y/N is having a baby!” your 8 year old niece yelled out. You didn’t see her standing beside you guys.

Everyone stopped talking and turned to you and Geno, “What?” your mom said with a smile creeping onto her face.

“Well, this wasn’t how I wanted to tell you guys, but yes, I’m pregnant. We’re going to have a baby!”

Your family rushed over to you and Geno, engulfing you guys into a large group hug. You heard “congratulations!” and “I’m so happy!” from all of your family. You and Geno laughed as they slowly went back to what they were doing. After everyone had said what they wanted to and hugged you guys they went to eat.

Geno came over and put his arms around your waist looking at you lovingly, “Sorry. Didn’t mean to ruin surprise.”

“It’s okay, I still love you.” You smiled and leaned in to kiss him.

You felt something pull on Geno’s pants. He pulled away from you and looked down to see your 5 year old nephew looking up at Geno, “Will you go swimming with us after we eat?” He said with a lisp.

“Love to.” Geno smiled down at him.

Watching the way Geno was with your nieces and nephews made you even more excited for your little bundle of joy to get here. You knew he was going to be a great dad.
