Scrolling down the website page she was currently on, she couldn't help but bite down her lower lips whilst reading the article published just that morning.

- Heol.. A non-celeb?

'Unfortunately so.'

- Unbelievable, she's just a distraction for him

'No point denying.'

- No wonder he's been looking off

'It isn't his fault. He's trying his best.'

Her already down mood was driven worse after reading the article she was apparently featured in, along with her celebrity boyfriend.

Feeling even worse as she continued reading all the comments on the article, her hands started to shake and tears that were forming in her eyes were starting to threaten to fall.

A vibration followed by a ringing tune from her phone made her jolt a little before she read the caller contact and winced. Hesitantly, she accepted the call, unwillingly mumbled a 'hello'.

"... y/n?" the voice from the other end of the line was laced with concern.

She kept quiet as her lips started trembling along and her voice wouldn't come out, fear and anxiety controlled her and she was then unable to respond.

"You read the article, didn't you?" he spoke again. "Please respond to me, y/n."

She hitched a breath before she mustered strength to speak, voice rather hoarse. "M-Minghao.."

A sigh was heard from the other line before he spoke again, "I'm outside your apartment."

Immediately, y/n's eyes widened in fear. "N-No, you shouldn't be here. They might see you here."

"You shouldn't be here, Hao." she repeated, climbing out of bed and rushed to the door.

"Let me in quick then."

y/n sprinted towards the door without wasting any redundant movements before she hastily pressed down the knob, unlocking the door to be greeted by a figure far too familiar with a heartfelt smile on his face whilst holding his phone up to his right ear.

Wasting no time, she pulled him inside and shut the door before turning to him with a distressed countenance too obvious to miss.

"Why are you here this late?" she questioned, hand still not letting go of his.

Minghao shrugged, "I don't know. I just came to see how you're doing, I guess. But it looks like I made the right choice to come here. You look terribly pallid. Come, I'll make you some hot chocolate." he insisted, pulling her back to the bijou living room.

y/n's dark and sorrow mood alleviated when seeing him so collected and calm.

She sighed, "Hao, what about practice? You still have a concert to attend soon. And the article, you read it yourself, right? You might get caught by your fans again."
