Requested, hope you like it! :)

"Y/n!" I turned away from my locker to see Aaliyah Mendes running over to me with a worried expression on her face. I slammed my locker shut as I knitted my eyebrows together in confusion.

"I need your help." She said grabbing my arms as she looked me in the eyes with her brown ones.

"Um," I glanced down at her hands that were gripping my arms tightly, "with what?" I asked.

"We have this huge hockey game coming up, and me and the girls are not ready. Since you're the best hockey player in Pickering, I was wondering if you could help us." She said letting go of my arms.

I had played hockey ever since I was 10, but I had to quit unfortunately due to an injury I had.

"Aaliyah, I don't know. My injury-," she cut me off.

"You don't even have to play," she paused like she was thinking, "you could just tell us what to do."

I sighed thinking about this, "okay, fine. You guys meet me at the hockey rink at 3:30." I said before the bell rang signaling for us to get to class.

"Thank you so much y/n!" I heard aaliyah yell as I walked to class.

I stared down at the glossy ice in under my skates. I closed my eyes as the flashback came into my mind.

My feet glossed across the slippery ice as I moved the puck closer to the goal. My eyes followed the black circle, I wasn't paying any attention to my surroundings. I was only focused on making it into the goal. A sharp pain ran throughout my body when it made contact with the cold ground. I groaned in pain as I looked down at my twisted leg.

"Mrs Y/L/N, I don't think you'll ever be able to play hockey again." The doctor answered my question leaving me speechless and heartbroken.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of the double doors closing. I turned my head to see aaliyah and a few other girls.

"Thank you for doing this." Aaliyah said as she pulled her hair into a pony tail.

"No problem."

Except, it was a problem.

"No, no, you know what," I shouldn't do this, but I am, I took the hockey stick from the tall girl and stood in front of the hockey puck.

"Y/n!, Y/n." The crowd cheered.

I closed my eyes tightly, and clenched my jaw. I opened my eyes and took a deep breath before skating across the ice as I moved side to side to avoid the girls blocking the goal.

"Wow!" I heard a girl say causing me to realize what I did. I smiled realizing that I made it into the goal, and I didn't have any pains, or Side effects that the doctors said I would have.

"Can you help join the team?" A girl asked with wide eyes causing everyone to laugh.

The bleachers filled with people waiting to watch the game. We were playing against the Bears, our rivals. (Just made that up tbh)

"You guys ready?" I asked turning to look at the team.

"Yeah!" They all screamed, some pumping their fists in the air.

"Let's do this." I said as a loud bell rang signaling for us to come out on the ice.

As I was skating across the ice, I looked up in the stands to see if I saw my parents. My eyes stopped on a boy with dark brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, and a maroon sweatshirt on. I looked away as soon as he met my eyes.

The score was 5, to 6. The bears were in the lead, I was sliding across the ice, trying to get the puck to the other side of the rink. I finally scored, causing us to go into a death match.

"You got this aaliyah." I whispered to myself  as she took control of the puck. She managed to steal it from some muscular girl, that I accidentally mistook for a guy.

As soon as she hit the puck the loud bell echoed throughout the rink causing everyone to cheer. The whole team group hugged as we celebrated our win.

"You did amazing honey." My Mom said bringing me into a warm hug.

"That a girl." My dad said smiling as he hugged me tightly.

"Hey, y/n." I looked over my dad's shoulder to see aaliyah running over to me with a bright smile. My eyes followed  behind her to see the boy from earlier.

"Would you like to go to dinner with us?" She asked. I looked at my parents for approval.

"You can go." My Mom said smiling.

"Of course." I said smiling.

"I'm Shawn." He said smiling a adorable smile revealing his perfect teeth.

"I'm y/n." I said as I pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

"You did amazing by the way." Shawn complimented as we waited for aaliyah and her Mom to walk out of the restaurant. Aaliyah and her mom went to the restroom, and told shawn and i to go out to the car.

"Thank you." I said blushing at his compliment.

"Believe it or not, I was actually a hockey player." He said turning towards me.

"Oh really?" I said smiling up at him. Geez he's tall, how come I'm just realizing that?

"Really." He said laughing.

My phone started ringing causing me to pull it out of my pocket.

"Hello?" I asked as I looked down at the asphalt.

"Hey, I'm here." I completely forgot I told my parents to come pick me up.

"Okay," I looked up to see my mom's car parked a little ways away.

"Im coming." I said before hanging  up the phone.

"Well, it was nice meeting you." I said to Shawn.

"You too." He said smiling. I went to walk away when he stopped me, "wait." I turned around to see shawn walking up behind me.

"Call me some time." He said holding out a piece of paper that had been torn off a napkin.

I smiled taking it from his hand before saying, "I will."

The ending sucks, but I hope you like it. I also had to risk the whole hockey thing 😂
