"what do you mean?" i finally asked. her looked down a few seconds before answering.

 his glossy eyes met mine as he spoke, "cassidy was dating this boy. they were together for a while," a small smile spread across his lips, "they kind of reminded me of us. sneaking out to see each other, always together, or always talking to each other," he shook his head like he was trying to get back to the point, "the boy broke her heart. it took her a few days to finally explain what happened. as i listened to her talk about how he broke up with her the pain was visible in her eyes. the sadness looked too familiar." 

i didn't know what to say. i was still confused as to why he was here telling me all of this. 

"why did he break up with her?" i couldn't help but ask. 

"they fell in love at the wrong time." 

i didn't think you guys would be so shook by this tbh lmao. i also didn't really know how to end it, but i hope you can kind of understand the deep meaning behind this especially the last line.
