Chapter 9: Couples

"Wait Umi! Its not like what you think it is!"
Umi stopped walking, looked at me with tears dropping in her eyes
"Then why did Maki kissed you? Its not just something that I can't ignore because..." Umi stopped but still crying
"I'm sorry. I didn't even expected her to kiss me out of nowhere"
"No, its my fault" Umi replied with a smile, "Let's go, I guess I'm just tired from what happened today"

We walked back to her house, but this feeling I have right now. When I look at her, my heart is beating really fast. Is this love? What am I going to do?!

But all of the sudden, she stopped walking.....
"Ren, I need to tell you something important." Umi said seriously but her face is a bit red
"W-what is it?"

She walked closely and said, "This feeling that I have since the day I met you, I thought it will be very impossible since you're really close to Honoka. But I have to let it go so my mind will be at peace. Ren, I love you."
At first I really don't know what to say. But it makes me want to say the same thing
"M-me to. I love you"

She closed her eyes with a gentle smile, and we both kissed under the moonlight.

"But is it okay for us to become couples?" Umi asked with her face blushing
"I guess its better not to let anyone know about this, it might become an issue for the idol club"
"I guess your right." Umi replied

I taked Umi back to her house and we both promised to not let anyone know about our secret. As I finally got back home, I received a message from Maki. It says:

"You better not appear tomorrow at school or else I will do something terrible"
                                                          -Maki

I tried to call Maki but she's not answering her phone. Should I do what she want? I really need to talk to her about what happened earlier.

I did what she want. Its just a day right? One absent is not a big issue. But what I'm worried about is what will Maki do to them.

But my feet carried me to the school. There's no escaping now since the student council president Eli-senpai saw me
"Good morning Ren. Can you come over to the student council office later? I need to talk to you about your presence in the Idol research club" Eli said
"Oh uhh... Sure, no problem"

When Eli-senpai left, Maki is staring at me from the entrance. She walked straight to me and greeted me with.... A kiss in the cheek? Wait, we're in school but she did that. This is bad! Many students are staring at us. I pulled Maki to the alpaca shelter behind the school grounds

"What the hell are you doing?!"
"I told you last night didn't I?" Maki replied with a smile. "Don't come to school or else I will do something terrible to you. Here it is! A kiss in public!"
"That's not funny you know?"
"But you left me just to chase Umi right? I saw everything, you and Umi kissing in the bridge last night" Maki replied seriously
"B-but that's..."
Maki opened her bag and showed to  the picture of me and Umi when we kissed.
"If you want me to keep this a secret, meet me at sunday at 10. I'll wait for you at the front of the UTX Building. Understood?"
I just nodded without thinking. We have plans with Umi on sunday.

Lunchbreak
I went to the student council office to talk with Eli-senpai. When I opened the room, I saw her dancing ballet. I have to admit she was really amazing. She noticed that I was watching her so she stopped.

"Have you ever tried knocking the door before you enter?" Eli-senpai said with a bit angry tone
"I-I'm sorry"
"Anyway, I was informed that a witness saw you yesterday in a restaurant with a member of the idol research club. Can you explain what are you two doing that time?"

A witness? Its probably Nozomi-senpai.
"I-Its not like what you think Eli-senpai, Umi asked me to help her write some lyrics for their next song. We just got hungry so we ate together.
"Is that so?" Eli-senpai replied, "But I just can't sit here and believe in you so I will do an investigation to the idol research club for the whole week starting today. Don't worry, I will just observe at your club activities. If I noticed something is happening in your club, I have no choice but to ask the director to disband your club. Understand?

I simply nodded and left the room. What am I going to do?! I should let them know about this.
