Chapter 41: Planning things out

"...Hello?"

"Eli, its me. Can we meet today? I have something very important to discuss with you"

"Sure. Meet me at the station later. Oh, and I hope you don't mind if I'll bring Nozomi with me. Bye!" Eli replied

Maki and I went to the station together to meet up with Eli and Nozomi.

"Sorry we're late"

"No worries. We both just arrived anyway" Nozomi replied

"So what do you both want to discuss about? Eli asked

"Its a long story, lets go to a nearby cafe and continue there" Maki suggested. We all went to a cafe just across the station and continued our discussion there.

"Sooo, what now?" Nozomi asked

"Its about Maki's dad"

"Another father issue? What is it this time?" Eli asked

"He wants μ's to perform. If we succeed, he won't transfer Maki to a different school."

"I guess we dont have a choice but to do it to save Maki-chan. Okay, lets do it!" Nozomi cheerfully said

*bzzt* *bzzt*
Maki's phone ringed. Its her dad calling her. She answered but looks like she's afraid to do so

"Hello?"
"....."
"What? You cant be serious?"
"....."
"I-I understand. Bye" Maki turned off her phone and looked very nervous

"What's wrong?" Eli asked

"Its my dad. He said he'll prepare a big party and all of his rich acquaintance will attend" Maki replied nervously

"This is bad. Are all rich people have high standards at performances?

"I don't know. But probably yes" Maki replied

"What do we do now?" Nozomi asked

"Lets go meet up with the others and discuss it carefully. We dont have much time left" Eli requested

We all contacted every member of μ's to do an emergency meetup within an hour

"I understand this is a very serious situation but... WHY HERE ON MY HOUSE?"

"Its fine! Don't worry about it. Besides most of us haven't visited your house yet" Nozomi replied

"Ren-senpai has a lot of manga stashed right here nyaa!" Rin brought out some of my manga stashed just across the room

"Rin please put it back, its hard to clean up later"

"No way nyaa! I still haven't read this part yet" Rin kept on reading and Honoka joined her

"Anyway, why do you called us here for?" Umi asked

Maki and Eli explained the current situation to all of them

"So we just have to prove ourselves to Maki-chan's dad so she wont get transferred?" Hanayo asked

"Yes. And if we dont make it very appealing to him or even his audience, Maki will have to leave μ's."

"Well, well, well. Seems like they want the world's best idol to perform for them. Don't worry guys, I got this!" Nico stood up proudly

"Calm down Nico. We have to plan this out if we want to succeed. This isn't like the open house you know?" Eli replied

"Ehh? But I think things will work out perfectly especially if I'll become the center of attention. Everyone really loves me after all" Nico replied

"Well, any suggestions?" Nozomi asked. Everyone proceeds and completely ignored Nico

We spent the entire day just to come up with an idea but nothing really comes up that may appeal them the most

"I think we should call it a day? Its getting late"

"We'll try to think again tomorrow for more but for now lets go home guys." Eli announced. Everyone grabbed all of their stuff and left while I'm still cleaning up.

While cleaning I saw an old picture under the table, assumed they just accidentally left it. I grabbed it and took a good look. Its Maki and a young boy. I guess this is the boy that Maki's mother mentioned before. But somethings weird. The boy in the picture looks like...

...but younger

"Hey Maki-chan!"

"Oh its you. How did you get here?"

"I sneaked inside of course. Its not that hard you know?"

"So, what did you came here for?"

"Lets go play outside!"

"But I can't. I still have to study"

"Its fine. You can study later anyway"

"Hmm... Okay! You lead the way"

The two kids went to the garden to play until their heart's content.
