Chapter 18: Its Frustrating

We contacted the others to go to Honoka's house. Good thing Umi and Kotori are already there. Rin and Hanayo went to her house as quickly as possible. While waiting for them, I searched the internet about the news that I watched a week ago.
Rin and Hanayo finally arrived

"Were here! Why did you called us nya?" Rin asked while putting her bag on the other side of the room

"Guys look at this, I think this is the reason why Nico-senpai is not going to school for the whole week" I showed them the article about the plane crash last week
"A plane crash in the pacific ocean? Why?" Umi asked while putting her hands in her chin
"Look closely, there's a list of all the passengers that died in the accident"

Everyone started reading the names of the people in the list.
"Look here! It says Yazawa!" Nozomi-senpai pointed in the screen of the laptop
"So, this means Nico-chans dad died in the accident?" Kotori asked while looking worried
"Yeah I guess so. She's probably feeling very lonely now. I talked to her the day before the incident, she told me that her dad is coming home from his job."

The room became very silent for a moment.

"We have to do something, lets go to her house and cheer her up" Honoka stood up from her seat
"We cant do that, we just came from her house a few hours ago. She looked very devastated" Nozomi-senpai said
"Then, lets do it tomorrow instead!" Honoka insisted
"Can't you understand? For now, lets wait for her to recover from that incident" Lets give her a few days before taking action"
"But you know, I want to cheer her up. I know its a terrible incident, but I'm sure what she wants is for us to comfort her and make her forget about that." Hanayo said while looking at the others with a concerned smile
"I think so too" Maki replied. "True it was terrible. But knowing Nico-chan, it was something she can overcome easily with that huge pride of hers"

Everyone smiled back and decided starting tomorrow, we will do our best to comfort Nico-senpai

Sunday evening
We've been trying so hard to let Nico-senpai out of her house. But not even once, she didn't opened her door

"What are we going to do? She didn't even opened her door once." Kotori said while holding a gift for Nico-senpai.
"We have to think of something to make her go to school again" Honoka insisted

While were standing at the front of Nico-senpai's apartment, a small kid approached us. She really looks like Nico-senpai but much smaller

"Umm... Can I help you with something? Why are you all standing at our apartment?" the little girl asked
"Wait you live here?"
"Yes, along with my two other siblings and our big sister" the little girl replied
"Big sister, you mean Nico-chan?" Kotori asked
"How do you know our big sister's name?" She replied
"She's our club president and as members, we're concerned about her so we brought a gift for her. We also want to talk to her at least for a bit"

While talking to that little girl, the door opened and inside was Nico-senpai and two other small children, one was a boy and the other is a girl.

"Cocoro, come inside. Leave them there. Guys, please leave now." Nico-senpai said
"But these people here wants to talk to you." Cocoro replied
"... Honoka-chan, Kotori-chan can you please leave for now. I will talk to Ren instead" Nico-senpai said to Honoka and Kotori
"Okay, lets go Honoka-chan" Kotori said while pulling Honoka's arm
"B-but we have to convince Nico-chan to come back to school" Honoka replied
"Don't worry, I'll try to convince her for you guys"
"Ok. Good luck!" Kotori waved while pulling Honoka with her

Nico-senpai's apartment is just small so we talked in her room so that we can't disturb her siblings eating at the dining room. Inside her room was full of idol merchandize and school idol posters just like in the clubroom. But it was a bit messy so Nico-senpai is cleaning up the room

"How are they doing in the practice?" Nico-senpai asked while fixing her room
"They can't start dance practice without you so they just focused on composing a new song that they will use in Love Live"
"I see" she replied, "I hope you know the reason why I'm not going to school for a week?"

For a moment I just fell silent and I can't say a single thing. Nico-senpai stood up and trying to hit the wall with her fist

"Its really frustrating!" Nico-senpai shouted while tears are going down to her face, "Having my father die in that stupid accident is something I just can't forget easily! He's the only person that I loved and cared the most. And then this happened? I can't accept this!"

I walked straight to her and hugged her. I just feel that I should do this to comfort her.
"Let go of it. Cry more, let your frustration go away until you feel better. If you still can't let go of it, try hitting me. Don't worry about it as long as you feel better, its fine to me"

She cried and cried in my arms until she stopped, although it tooked a while. When she felt better, I took a glass of water in her kitchen and gave it to her

"Are you all right now?"
"Yeah, thanks to you. I think I will be ready to go to school starting tomorrow" Nico-senpai said while holding the glass of water
"That's good to hear. Its getting dark, I think I should go now."
"Should I go with you? You might get lost" she replied
"Don't worry I'll be fine"

When I opened the door and went outside, she pulled my hands and kissed me on the lips.

"W-what was that for?"
"Just a big thank you for helping me move on to my father's death, do you want more?" Nico-senpai asked while smiling
"No thank you. I'll be going now"
"Bye! And thanks for the help!" Nico-senpai waved her hands as I walk away.

"That guy is a big troublemaker, not only for Umi, but for the others as well. Lets just hope that Eli and Nozomi won't find out about this." Nico-senpai said as she closed the door
