Hey everyone, it's Lexi. I started writing this story in seventh grade. Tomorrow is my first day of junior year. Throughout the years of writing this, I have completely changed the plot twice, and made some major edits at least three times. Although I know for a fact this is not my best work, and I'm capable of writing something much better, I'm proud of how my first ever full story turned out. When I originally started writing, I made my first mistake, which was just randomly writing instead of planning a solid plot of the things that would happen. I had fully written at least two alternate endings of Caitlin with Aaron, and another completely different plot line of her relationship with Adam. Many of you who were around since the beginning probably remember that. I found that as I got older, it was much easier for me to write more realistically, because I am now almost the same age as Caitlin was for the majority of the story. I understand a lot of it wasn't realistic, but I am okay with that. I'm so excited to see what stories I will write in the future and I cannot wait to see my writing style and technique improve. Thank you so much for reading Taking Chances. It means everything to me. I went through phases of forgetting this story existed, to being so frustrated with it that I didn't even want to write, to writing multiple chapters a night. I even pulled an all-nighter to write a majority of this story. I will always remember Taking Chances. Let me know what story you'd want to see from me next! I have a few ideas for plots but I can't decide what type of story I want to write. I'm debating between another romance, or a more "adventure" style book, maybe even a mix of both! Please let me know what you'd like to see in the comments! I really appreciate every single comment. Thank you again for reading Taking Chances.

Sincerely,

Lexi :)
