You walked across a busy street with headphones in and iPod blaring. You were just making your way to the mall a few blocks down. Looking down, you saw you had received a message and opened it.
While you were distracted, you didn't notice that you were crossing the road. The cars were oncoming and people were yelling for you to stop but you couldn't hear them.
It was only when you paused your music, a loud horn made you snap your head up. You went wide eyed and froze from fear.
Your body screamed for you to move or get out of the way from the car trying to stop. Though suddenly a pair of arms pulled you into the sidewalk where someone shielded their body with yours.
As everything went mute, you clung to the body with your breathing uneven.
"Are you ok?" A blonde boy asked leaning back and you simply nodded still in shock.
People calm huddling you both as the bou brought you to your feet.
"Y-you saved my life..." you choked out and he smiled at you.
"I couldn't let a pretty girl like you get hurt could I?" You didn't know if it wads still the adrenaline or him that made your heart beat faster before he told people you were ok. "How about your hero buys you some coffee huh?"
You blinked back before nodding.
"O-ok." Wow... what a weird way to start a relationship.
