Hannah's POV

I never got mail. Not from my family at least. Especially from my twin brother, Mark. I hadn't heard from him in years. Not since our dad passed away. Not Mom. Not my step mom. Not Tom. Not anyone in my family.

But today was different. I opened up my mailbox -which is normally empty unless I ordered something online- and found a single envelope. I walked back inside and inspected it.

The envelope wasn't a plain white one -it was blood red. It had my address and name on it, and in the corner it had my twin's name on it. Mark Fischbach. He lives in Los Angeles.

I sat on one of my kitchen barstools and ripped open the top. Inside, a card read:

Your Invited!

I opened the card to read more.

Hey Hannah. It's your
big bro Mark here. I want
you to come to my huge house
party with me, Tom and
a bunch of my friends.
You could spend a week
or so here in LA with me
and catch up. Its been years.

Hope to see you there,
Mark :)

It also had his phone number, address, time and date inside. The card was made from cardstock. Made by my brother.

I wonder what he's been up to all this time. Maybe he got a college degree. Maybe he got a girlfriend. Maybe he lives in a huge mansion. Or a small apartment, depending on his job.

I'll send him a text, letting him know that I'm going to the party.

Hannah: hey mark. its hannah. i know we haven't talked in years, but I'm going to your party next weekend

Mark: hey hannah!! that's great that you're going to my party!! i can't wait to see you!!

Hannah: me neither! I'm going to drive to your place. Is that okay???

Mark: yeah sure.

Hannah: I should get there 5:30 tonight.

Mark: i can do 5:30. see ya then!

I set my phone down on the breakfast bar and hopped off the barstool. I walked into my bedroom and pulled my blue suitcase out from underneath my bed.

I set the suitcase on top of my bed and walked around the foot of it to get to my closet. I opened the closet door and picked out some clothes. Jeans, jeggings, t-shirts, a flannel, and a dress. I folded everything up and packed it into my suitcase.

I packed everything I needed for 2 weeks in Los Angeles, and zipped up my bag. I grabbed my telescope case and packed that as well. After our dad died, Mark had still been in shock for a while. He grew a love for space, the love I already had for it.

I was currently wearing a pair of jean short shorts and my University of Southern California (USC) shirt. I brought both cases down the hall into my living room. Across the hall from my bedroom was the guest room. Down the hall were two bathrooms.

The hallway ended, opening into the living room that was connected to the kitchen. In the kitchen, a screen door led to the backyard with my pool and hot tub.

I was ready to go to LA. Maybe I could tell Mark and Tom about my degree in astrophysics. When I got out of high school, my family didn't know about my scholarship from USC. I never told them. I only said I was moving out of Cincinnati to California.

Maybe now... I could tell them.
