"So, Hannah, what have you been doing for the past 10 years?" Mom asked.

"I, uh, actually never told you, any of you, but when I graduated high school in Cincinnati, USC gave me a scholarship." I said.

Tom, Mark and Mom all smiled widely and congratulated me all at the same time.

"Yeah, that's why I had moved from Cincinnati to California in such a hurry. I spent 4 years there and got a degree in astrophysics." I explained, Mark almost spitting out his food.

"Mark! Manners." Mom lightly smacked him on the arm for being rude at the table as if he were 7.

"Do you have a telescope?" Mark asked.

"Yeah. I even brought it with me, too." I replied.

Mark's eyes were turkey platters. "Seriously?!?"

"Yeah. If you want, we can look at the stars later. Maybe I can pull out my constellation charts and show you some of them. Teach you a thing or two." I offered.

"Yeah! I'm in!" Mark answered.

"Anyways, before space nerd over here got off track," Tom nodded towards Mark. "What kind of work do you do sis?"

"I work in Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida. I live just 15 minutes away in Cocoa." I finished.

"Wait- there's a place called Cocoa in Florida? I mean, I've heard of Cocoa Beach, but damn. Cocoa??" Mark asked.

".....Yeah. And I live there. It's a nice place. Really nice." I pulled out my phone and showed them pictures of all the different rooms in my house, then the outside of it.

Everyone's favorite part was my private office. Across the hall upstairs was the open office.

Outside:

"Can I go over to your place?" Mark asked as a half-joke half-actual-question.

We all laughed at my goofy twin brother.

"Sometime, yeah. Oh, I also have a pool and hot tub in the backyard. Ash and Caleb always swam together back there..." I trailed off.

"Who are Ash and Caleb?" Mom asked.

"Nevermind." I said, standing up and setting my plate in the sink.

"Hannah." Mom pushed.

"I said nevermind, Mom!" I yelled at her. "This is why I haven't talked to my family in years. You always have to know everything Mom." I ran my fingers through my long black hair and got my stuff from the living room.

I took both of my bags upstairs to one of the guest rooms Tom showed me. I left my stuff next to the bed and locked the door. I slammed my face into a pillow and cried.

They don't know Caleb or Ash. I loved both of them. So much. I doesn't matter anymore... It never will matter again, anyways.

I heard a small knock on the door. I kept crying and said nothing. The door opened, whoever it was coming inside.
