"Um... Sophia?" Shauna called me from the entrance of the research room I was using to look more into Kalos's history, demographics, geography, news, language, Pokédex, and any extra trivias I wanted to get my hands on, including this mega evolution thing Sycamore was talking about. My computer wasn't made for research, since it was one I made myself and was use for more difficult technology

I turned with my chair to see her peaking on the edge of the door, holding the egg Sycamore offered me as a gift to welcome me to the region and gain a Pokémon to at least help me get through a new place and get around easier to find Serena without causing trouble with myself since he found out I only had one Pokémon. Obviously I refused it since I couldn't stand being near a Pokémon, even if it was in a egg

"Yes? Can't you see that I'm busy?" She moved from her hiding place, showing that even Fennekin was hiding as well. For a slit second, she looked behind the wall so she can whisper something to go away and then faced me. Who was she talking to?

"Yeah, I see that... but it's already so late, and it's best that we go to bed now" I looked at the wall clock, seeing what she said was true. Time must've ran away from me

"So it is..." I sighed and stood up, turning off the lab computer "I learned enough, a good night's rest sounds good" Shauna nodded happily and lead me the way to our bedroom we were going to use for the night. B crawled on my bed and threw up my pajamas for me to wear

"Did your keychain just... throw up clothes?" Shauna asked, sitting on her own bed. I lifted B to show her what it was "oh! It's a tiny Pokémon!" She gasped, coming closer to look at it sleeping "I never seen anything like it!"

"It's a Banette. It's small because it was my childhood toy before I lost it. It was tiny, and like the usual story of Banettes, when a child abandons their toy" I swung B around it's keychain "it becomes a Banette to seek revenge on the child that abandoned it" it yawned and reached its heavy arms towards me, wanting me to put it on my shoulder to keep warm

"D-did you abandon it?" I shook my head and removed my clothes to change, turning around so she wouldn't see the scars on my body

"No" I didn't say anything after that. I grabbed my clothes and fully turned back around once I changed "I happen to drop it while on my way to my dad's work place" she hugged her legs and thought about it

"Your dad, huh? It's still pretty weird to know that Serena had a dad. She never spoke of him" I already knew this "even if she tells me all her secrets, there's still things I don't truly know about her. But I know you know more things than I do, huh?" I wish I can lie and said I did. After discovering that Serena often talks about her problems with Calem and not me, it made me wonder what exactly she's keeping secret. Of course, I wasn't going to ask anyone about it... I want Serena to tell me herself, even if it's me that hasn't been all honest with her "but anyways!" Shauna smiled "there's a important matter I want to talk about" I sat on my bed and opened my computer to adjust some coding

"You can talk, but you won't get anything out of me" she nodded and looked down

"Actually... it's about Calem" I shut my computer, not expecting this subject to come up "it's about... how he feels around you?"

"How he feels around me? What are you getting at?" She leaned in closer, looking serious

"Just to let you know, I never tell anyone a secret told to me. How about a deal? This is actually a secret that wasn't shared with me, but rather what I kept to myself as I witnessed this. If I tell you this secret, will you share one as well?" My eyes widened

"What secret are you wanting?" She bit her lips

"On... why you hide that you're a..." she frowned. Ah... I see what she's talking about. She's been wanting to know why I've been hiding my appearance since the day we met across the gates of our houses "I can keep secrets! I swear! I was just curious..." I sighed, knowing I can't hide it from her anyways since she already knows I'm a twin
