"You all been here quite awhile now" Valerie, the gym leader of the city and the one lending us rooms for the week, said while everyone was outside and I was in the bathroom temporarily dying my hair

"Yeah, our friend decided to stay longer. She's pretty good at making decisions" I looked at the door as Tierno talked "so if she wants to stay, we'll stay to"

"Aren't you all loyal friends! It's refreshing" Valerie giggled "since you are here for a while, why don't you all come to the showcase party tomorrow?"

"I don't see why not... it's a shame Serena can't perform though" Trevor said

"But what's more important is her safety. If Sophie truly believes Serena's fine, we have to believe her" Calem said

"Is that what she said?" Shauna asked

"Yeah"

"She isn't the kind to lie, and Serena means the world to her! We can have some ease now..." Trevor sighed in relief

"That's such a relief to hear! This friend of yours... why haven't I seen her before?" Valerie asked

"She's in the dressing room right now actually" Calem knocked on the door. I was too busy to answer

"She's been busy all week already. What is she up to anyways?" Trevor asked. I couldn't see what was happening when there was silence on the other side of the door

"I got you all and your friends tickets to the Princess Party. I know we all wish Serena could be there, but it's nice if you can go to show your support. They're using the event to raise money on the search!" I looked back at the door "I can't wait for you all to see-"

"Don't bother" I said "this fundraiser thing isn't worth it, really. Serena is fine, I can promise you that. I'll tell them myself that this isn't made for something unnecessary"

"What? How are you going to do that?" Shauna asked. I finished prepping my hair and moved it from my face "what do you know about Serena that we don't?"

"That's a secret" I looked back at my reflection, with my green contacts "and you know how I am about keeping to myself" I sighed "listen, right now, I don't want you thinking too much about this. What's going on between me and Serena is none of your business right now" I smirked, knowing this was according to plan

"Wait, what?" Trevor gasped

"What did you say?!" Shauna banged on the door. I wrapped my hair to set it and got my things ready "come out here, Sophia! You got some explaining to do!"

"I don't have to say anything to you" I walked to the window and looked back at the door "trust me on this. Aren't we friends?"

"That's not how friendship works! You're suppose to be truthful too!" I opened the window and climbed out

"Sorry, I'm still new on this friend thing! Maybe Serena can teach me something about it! See yah tomorrow at the party!" I jumped out and ran through the dark to find a place to hide. Clouds were forming already around the sky, so I better hurry and find a place.

The first place I thought of was to head to the Pokéball factory, but I didn't want to take the time to disconnect the security. If I knew I was going to have to leave Valerie's place so suddenly, I would had been bettered prepared

Rain started pouring slowly "great!" I walked to shelter and hugged my arms, staring at storm starting to settle in. I better stay put to keep my hair and bag dry. Absol came out to keep me safe

"Thanks for coming out here" I pet it's head "when the rain calms down, let's get somewhere to hide. Apparently I messed up. I trusted them enough to tell my friends that Serena is fine, but they want me to tell them more? Can't they just be easy?" I sighed "I don't know anything about having friends. Pretty soon... it'll be just like all this never happened" I looked down "I'm sorry..." I closed my eyes, trying to control myself "I'm sorry I can't be a better person"
