Chapter 25: Desert*

"H-huh!? Ahh!" I screamed when I started flying high in the air. Z floated around me, happy that I could join it in the air naturally "how do I do this!?"

"You're doing great!" Calem waved from the ground, holding his camera like usual "keep your legs together and open your arms! The wind is perfect today! Don't think too much! Porygon Z is there to help you just in case you crash!" I groaned, putting my feet together to help my flying. The thought of flying reminded me of how Serena gone missing. Her friends wanted to have a reunion, and she was the first to show up. Fennekin was blown away, so that's why it didn't know what happened to her and how it was found beaten

It took awhile to get use to it... but I finally got the hang of it! "I'm doing it!" I shouted

"Great! I knew you could do it!" He waved his arms all excitedly "do you see anything?!" I looked around the view of route 13, seeing how many entrances there are to the Kalos power plants. Something has to be going on in one of them, since part of Lumiose has a power outage

From a distance, I could see a Team Flare grunt guarding one path to one of the entrances. I landed back on the ground near Calem, only to accidentally have the wind blow me away and made me land on my face

"First the skates!" Calem helped me up. I spat out some sand "now the suit! What else are you not good at?!" I glared

"Everything!"

"Awe come on! You're smart! There's allot of things you have to be good at!" I groaned and walked off to where I saw the grunt

I hate having to talk about my "talents" the only reason why I know how to design is because I have my sister for inspiration and Greg taught me how to sew and everything. There's nothing else I can be good at besides being smart and know how to be a criminal

"There's nothing else I'm good at... I can't even do Pokémon battles right" like before when I was taking care of the Camo gang, again I told Z to battle on its own while I take care of the grunts. Z knows how long it can use it's battery, so it'll throw its own attacks in order to know how long it can last. If I battled with it, there's no really telling when it'll die since it won't tell me

I could had gotten my own Pokémon into the battle, but I didn't want them getting involved in gang activity. Besides, they're still children.

Getting closer to the spot the grunt was at, having a hard time getting through the wind, I decided to build up some air and open my arms to fly up with Z. There was no time to deal with him, so I did what any responsible person would do... I leaned in and flew quick downward to kick the guy in the face. The impact was so great and unexpected that he passed out

"Oops" I landed on the ground

"That was awesome!" Calem laughed. A stare was piercing on my neck. One small look up and I could see a Absol staring down at me from a high rock "a Team Flare grunt is here... still, huh?" Calem held his chin "this is where Serena disappeared, they must be doing something here. I think we can get some answers..." I sighed "what is it?" I walked pass the passed out grunt to enter the entrance.

Finally away from the crazy wind, I removed my helmet, letting my hair flop down to my shoulders. Calem stared at me with his mouth a bit dropped. I didn't even care if he almost drooled, I didn't feel right being quiet about what I learned from Lucario

"Sophie..?" He reached out for my shoulder, only for me to slap his hand away

"Where Fennie was found..." I looked down

"Yeah? What about it?"

"Lucario told Z some things... apparently, it wasn't the same spot Serena disappeared. Because the wind was so strong, the person Serena was probably battling? The attack hit Fennie, causing it to fly away. T-there's..." I slowly reached to cup my mouth before blurting out what I knew "there's no proof that she was kidnapped... there's no proof of anything! If her Pokémon don't know what happened, how will anyone else know!?" I covered my face "this is getting hopeless! What if we can't find her!?" He grabbed my shoulders to shake me
