Chapter 26: Attack*

"Hey! Come on! Tell me what happened!" Calem nagged at me once we left the power plants and made our way back to Lumiose to see the lights getting turned back on "what made you change your mind all of a sudden?" once getting back to Calem when he released the workers who were tied down by the gang who disappeared from the building completely, I told him that I wanted to get to the bottom of Team Flare's plan and defeat them at all cost. I'm sure it's what Serena wanted. He was beyond confused when I blurt it out, thus, nagging to tell him more of what I know. Maybe I should had rehearsed what I was going to say before saying it out of nowhere... I was just too jumpy that I wasn't thinking properly

"Shut up, Calem!" I bubbled my cheeks, annoyed. His eyes sparkled a bit when seeing this "it's not important!"

"It's pretty important. All you cared about is finding Serena... what made you make a change of heart? I mean..." he rubbed the back of his neck "Team Flare is becoming a problem, and knowing my friends, they would want to take care of them... but you?" I turned away

"Well, it's like you said. Your friends would want to do something about them, and since Serena would do something like this, I'd like to do anything that'll make her happy. It's not really the change of my heart, I just happen to think about it is all" I felt him looking at me closely, like he wasn't buying what I was saying

"What's going on with you? You were panicking when we got to the powerplant, and all of a sudden you look like how you looked when you first came to Kalos" he thought for a moment "sort of... you've changed since that day we met by the fences" I blushed a bit, walking faster away

"I-I don't know what you're talking about-" my feet suddenly stopped feeling the ground. I was falling forward from what looked like a staircase I didn't even see "shit!" I screamed, expecting my face to fall flat on the floor again, only to get caught by a abnormally large size hand "huh..?" The hand gently let me down on the ground. I dust myself off and looked up high at a giant-like man staring at nothing "whoa!" Calem ran to my side to look up at the giant as well "huge..."

"That's what she said" he joked. I punched his face in disgust. The giant-like man muttered something to himself before leaving to another part of the route. I didn't know what that was, but what Calem said was too extra. He had to make a cock joke as I described the man's tall appearance

"Idiot" I kicked sand at his direction and walked away to find the entrance of Lumiose City when I heard a bark from the distance. I turned quickly to see that Absol from before standing right in the middle of the exit, growling our way

"Why is that Absol growling at us?" It took a step forward, arching its back. It didn't do that earlier, why is it doing that now?

"A-Absol..." he took a step back

"Do you know it?"

"We got to get out of here now!" Calem grabbed my wrist "it's-" Absol tilted its head to release a razor wind from its horn and shot it right at his torso, sending him flying with blood appearing through his clothes

"Calem!" I gasped, reaching to catch him before he fell on the floor. His eyes were still open, but couldn't respond "what the hell!?" I glared at the Absol, not expecting it to be so close to me. I gasped, keeping still just in case I'd get hit

Z flew over to speak it with. All it did was turn its head and disappeared into the city "why..?" I frowned. I knew it was a bad idea to move him, so I acted with first aid and ordered Z to find help

"S-Sophie..." Calem whispered. I ignored him and applied pressure on his large wound. He slowly raised his head to look at me "Sophie" I forced his head back on the ground
