I woke up with a note on my nightstand
It was from Alex! It read,

"Sup! I know, I'm lame. I should have texted you but I lost my phone, again. In my giant house. But don't worry! Just wanted to tell you there's a party at my place in Saturday at 8:00!! It will be awesome! See ya!"

Party? Oh god. I can't tell Marissa. She'll blab to mom about me sneaking out.

I got up out of bed and ripped my closet upside down to find something to wear for school today

Marissa bursts into my room

Marissa: sooooo, whatcha doing?

Lauren: just finding something to wear

Lauren: um, school?

Lauren: what's wrong?

Marissa: can you stop hiding it??? I know everything.

Lauren: you do???

Marissa: duh!! I can't believe you. About Alex, about-

Lauren: ok I'm sorry. I didnt want to tell you because-

Marissa: Alex likes me!!!

Lauren: what?

Marissa: he complimented me!! On my hair! And he was so nervous to sleep in my room so he slept in your crappy one!!

Lauren: uhhh yeah! That's what's going on..

Marissa: why would you hide it from me? I thought you would tell me everything
