At the hospital

ALEXS POV

Alex: oh god oh god oh god, this is my fault! This is all my fault!! I'm the reason she may not wake up...

I started to cry

Alex: and I didn't get to, oh f*ck it!!!! Marissa, I have somethings to tell you!

Marissa: what?

Alex: I love Lauren! Ok? And she is tutoring me because I have ADHD!!

I started sobbing

Alex: And in the classroom I confessed my love to her and she fainted! I'm sorry I know you like me and-

Marissa: Alex, I dont have feelings for you anymore.

Alex: you don't?

Marissa: I'm taken.

Alex: who?

Marissa: Brody. But enough about this. Alex, this isn't your fault.

I started crying again

Alex: yes it is Marissa! I'm the reason that Monitor will beep pronouncing her dead!

Marissa: Alex calm down!

Alex: I can't calm down! I never got the chance to say goodbye..and it's all my fault I'll never see her again

Marissa: ok Alex you need to stop blaming your self!!

Alex: but I deserve it!!

Marissa: Alex, we were around thirteen years old when she had her anxiety faint after I scared her. I felt like she died. I felt guilty, I felt like there was something I did wrong.

Alex: but this time-

Marissa: but she woke up. And I felt soo happy. She isn't dead Alex. She's, resting. There's nothing to worry about.

I went up the the top of the hospital bed

Alex: Lauren, if you don't wake up, I will never forgive myself.

The doctor came in

Alex: what's going on??

Doctor: well right now she's in a State of shock.

Alex: oh god I knew it.

Doctor: she will be 100% ok, but when she wakes up just be gentle and don't make sudden noises.

Marissa: we understand.

Doctor: good.

The doctor walked out of the room.

10 minutes later

Lauren, woke up.
I was about to scream in excitement
But then Marissa reminded me about what the doctor said

Alex: Lauren, your awake.

Lauren nodded

Alex: I'm soo sorry for what I did.
