This is sort of an interactive story, I guess. I didn't have any ideas for this, so the requester, ShootingStar810 gave me a good idea! Thanks for requesting!

This is my first time writing a love triangle, so hope it's not too weird.

You gazed at the distant mountains from your room, longing to go and explore. Being the princess of Pales Kingdom, you were bound to protocol and you were never allowed to roam anywhere outside the castle walls. 

You felt like a caged dog, and you didn't like it. You sighed heavily as you paced around your room, trying to think of a way to run off. 

Just then, a hasty knock on your door resounded.

"Come in!" You called. Immediately, your maid, Jane, came in with a big smile.

"What's the matter, Jane?" You asked.

"The Crown Prince of Aedecia, his majesty, Gilbert and his brother, Duke Ludwig have arrived to greet you." She smiled.

Your ears perked up and a smile graced your serious face. You zoomed past Jane and ran down the hallways (despite the heels you wore) to the entrance of the castle to receive them. They were getting out of a carriage, perfectly displaying their handsomeness (for some reason) and as they walked like knights going for war. You ran to them and exclaimed, 

"Gilbert, Ludwig, I'm so happy to see both of you!"  

"Same!" Gilbert ruffled your hair, "It's always so boring without you."

You laughed and then looked at Ludwig. As always, he had the same serious and stoic expression on his face. He's always been a hard worker, which was an admirable thing, but the problem was, he never knew when to rest.

"Luddy!" You slapped his arm, "Come on, loosen up already!"

"W-Well, I couldn't." He looked away nervously, "Even if you are our childhood friend, you are the Princess of Pales Kingdom. I must give you your due respect."

"Very well, Lord Ludwig, it is as you say." You pouted unceremoniously and Gilbert simply shook his head while trying not to laugh.

"Anyway, what is the reason for your visit?" You asked as the three of you were led indoors.

"Your father, has called us over to talk to us. He hasn't revealed why and I think when we meet him, we'll know." Gilbert explained.

"Come to think of it, I have to present myself before my father today too." You hummed, "Maybe I'll be there with both of you?"

"Who knows?" Gilbert shrugged.

Soon, the three of you presented yourselves in the court room, standing in front of your father. You stood next to your father while both of them bowed respectfully and lowered their heads.

"It's a pleasure to meet you again, your highness." Gilbert spoke. 

"Indeed." your father smiled, "Raise your heads." 

Gilbert and Ludwig raised their heads and curiously looked at the king. He simply smiled and then spoke,

"My daughter, ____ has turned eighteen only a few weeks ago. Since she is of a marriageable age, I have been looking for a suitor for her." 

He paused for a moment while you pursed your lips and internally sighed. You knew this was coming. 

"Since Aedecia and Pales are on good terms with each other, I wish to strengthen the bond by giving her to you, Gilbert."
