[ℝ] S. Italy - Babysitter

You lived with your elder brother, Antonio. He worked as a CEO of a rising company and you were his beloved little sister.

You were a senior in high school and life sure was exciting. However, whenever you'd come home, you'd see your brother with a man you didn't know.

From what you heard, his name was Lovino, he was twenty one years old, and he was a close friend of Antonio's. The man may have looked handsome, but he had a temper as quick as a cheetah's pounce. You didn't really like that about him.

Thankfully for you, he didn't speak to you much... even though he looked like he wanted to. You guessed that he was holding himself back just because Antonio was around. You didn't want to talk to him. He didn't seem trustworthy enough for you, so you'd just simply greet him and walk off.

Eventually, a day came where you absolutely couldn't ignore him no more.

Antonio had to travel to Germany for a business trip, and he couldn't take you along since you had school.

"Lovino has agreed to babysit you for the whole month while I'm gone." he said and you groaned.

"But why! I can stay by myself!" you protested loudly, but Antonio clicked his tongue.

"I need to do this. I don't want to risk leaving you alone, so please, just do as I say," he urged, "trust me, Lovino wouldn't do a thing to make you feel uncomfortable,"

You continued protesting, but Antonio was unrelenting.

"____, whether you like it or not, it has already been decided," Antonio crossed his arms.

You looked away for a moment and Antonio stooped down at eye level and gently held your shoulders.

"I've known him for years, so don't worry. He's as harmless as a fly. But if he does anything to you, tell me immediately, okay?" he smiled warmly and ruffled your hair.

"Better yet, if he makes you uncomfortable, you should tell him also. I can guarantee that he will understand."

You still felt uncertain, but you agreed anyway. You could give Lovino a chance.

The day came. Antonio had left for the airport after you had gone to school. Before you had gone, he gave you a piece of paper with Lovino's number on it and said,

"He'll be home by the time school is over, so you won't be alone. If anything happens, call him."

You'd rather be alone.

When you had come home after a long day, you kicked off your shoes at the door and a heavy sigh followed. But upon entering, you caught a whiff of something delicious.

"You're back." said the familiar voice which presented itself before you.

It was Lovino. He was looking serious as always but was rather unruffled and calm.
You just responded with a hum.

"How was your day?" he interrogated as he followed you into the living room.

"Like usual." you responded as you threw your bag on the couch, not really wanting to talk to him.

"You hungry? I've whipped something up for a snack." he said and you paused.

You surely were hungry and you didn't want to lie about that. Lovino noticed your rather long pause, but he waited.
