- 1 Year before the events of Chapter One -

Bright blue fluffy hair popped up out of the collar of a navy dress shirt. The owner of the hair emerged from the snazzy clothing a few seconds later, revealing a young males face.

It was splattered with bright red and pink acne, and displayed curious, youthful hazel-blue eyes.  The boy gave a small grunt as he shoved his arms through the arm holes, and slapped a tie around his neck.

The male was getting ready for a relatives wedding, tying the knot around his tie and slipping on some dress pants.

For him, it was a big event.  He almost never got dressed up so fancily like this, so that proved it.

He heard his name being called, telling him to hurry up or he'd be late.  He hurried down the stairs of his apartment building, hopping into his mom's car that was waiting to take him to his cousins wedding.

"So, Ethan, you ready?" The boy, now identified as Ethan "Cranky" Nestor, bounced in his seat.

"Of course mom! I'm so happy for her!" He cheered, putting on a dazzling grin.

He combed his fingers through his blue dyed hair, trying to smoothen down the unruly locks. His hair had never cooperated when it came to anything, and he had no hopes that it would today.

See, there's a reason that he was so excited to go to his cousins wedding; it's because he was closer to her than anyone else in his family. Not even his relationship with his grandma could compare.

He and his cousin Thalia were the black sheep of the Darling-Nestor family, and for that they stuck together and got along very well. Well, your asking, what's the reason?

They were both gay. Technically, Thalia was lesbian, but still. They'd talk about their crushes, how lucky they were not to be straight, and just god awful gay jokes.

They had an ideal relationship.  And today, she was getting married to a bisexual woman that went by the name of Nicole. Ethan really liked Nicole; she did his nails for him.  How else did you think he was going to stay fabulous?

In no time at all, they had arrived at the garden that the wedding was taking place in.

It was a wide, green field with a chattering creek slicing through.  Along the edges were gorgeous hydrangea bushes that he adored, and spiky grass plants. Dotted around were patches of white flowers that tied the whole look together.

He gave a little sigh at the sight.  Ethan always felt at peace with flowers.  Something about how resilient they were, how stubborn to shut down for winter, but eager to unfurl in the spring.  They always smell so nice, even if they haven't showered in the rain for a while.

Sure, he might have been a little childish, to think that flowers had the perfect life and he wanted to be like a flower, but hey, he was only a twenty-year-old college student.

Speaking of college, Ethan was in his second year, studying computer design and film.  He always wanted to be a movie director, but computers were cool.  He already had a part time job, working at Pottermore, a name which he really loved.  It was a beautiful little flower shop, from trailing vines and huge bushes, to small tulips and tiny air plants.

Really, it was a sanctuary, and he thanked his friend, and Pottermores owner, Mark, for letting him have the job.

Mark had been a friend of his since kindergarten, and they were inseparable.  It also helped that another one of his friends, Sean, made up the Holy Trinity of friends with them.

It was great.

No, it was more than great, it wa-

THUNK-

Oh... oh no

While he was daydreaming, he didn't realize that he was wandering, and he had accidentally smacked face-first into someone.  He let out a squeak, falling back, and readying to feel the impact of the ground.

But it didn't come.  His eyes snapped open, meeting grayish-blue ones.  A strong, warm hand had caught his own, and was currently pulling him up from his falling dilemma.

The male that had caught Ethan was tall... and handsome.  He had unruly chestnut curls, and light stubble speckling a strong jaw.  His eyes were drawn to the unknown males ears, so cute and small like his nose.

The man laughed lightly to break the awkward silence, fully pulling Ethan up and to his feet.  "Hey, you okay man?"

The blue haired boy could only nod, flabbergasted at the probably straight hot guy in front of him.  He retracted his hand, shoving both in his pockets.  "Uhm.. yeah, thanks!"

The guy gave a lopsided, but very adorable smile, lightly skimming his fingers through his brown locks.  "Im Tyler, by the way.  I'm guessing your here for the wedding?"

Ethan nodded, taking note of Tylers name and appearance.  One thing that many people didn't know about Ethan, he had the memory of an elephant.  "Yep.  Thalia's my cousin.  I'm Ethan."

Tyler smiled, bobbing his head up and down so that his hair wobbled ever so slightly.  "Thalia mentioned you, actually.  Oh, yeah, i should probably mention, i'm an intern for her wedding planner.  Your cousins fucking awesome dude."

The lighthearted chatter warmed the shorter boys heart, wowie, how long was it since he had a good conversation with someone?  Probably before he had been smacked with an overload of homework.  Yeah, probably.

Ethan chuckled, shaking his head.  "Thats Thal for you.  I should... probably get going.  I can see a lot of people are already sitting down and getting ready- thanks, by the way, for catching me.  And im really sorry for bumping into you."  He mumbled, rubbing his arm nervously.

Tyler cocked his head to the side, and bent down lightly so that he could stare into Ethans hazel orbs, a soft and caring smile adorning his lips.  Ethan felt a blush creeping along his cheeks because damn was this guy hot

The other males smile seemed to grow seeing his shorter companion blush lightly. "No need to apologize- its been my pleasure."  And with that, the tall male walked off, going to talk with some flower deliverer.  Ethan recognized them from Pottermore; Kathryn, the delivery manager.  Must be important for her to come here.

As soon as Tyler left, Ethans face burst into a bright red blush, redder than his acne, redder than the brightest rose.

Hot damn

That probably straight guy was fucking hot
