Request: "The hardest thing I have ever done is walk away still madly in love with you."

Tabitha Galavan found herself haunted by death.

First her brother, now Butch and Barbara.

She was losing everyone she ever cared about and she couldn't help but fear that you were next.

So she left.

You woke up one morning to an empty bed, Tabitha no where to be found in your shared apartment.

There was no goodbye, no note, no reasoning for her absence, just the keys to Sirens sitting on the table.

You went to the club, ran it like any other day and waited for her.

She never came.

Six months went by without a word from her.

You were now the sole owner of Sirens and business was booming after you cleaned up all the messes Barbara made.

Sirens was now nothing but a clean cut club for the residents of Gotham.

Last call was over, the club was empty, the lights down low as you were getting ready to head home.

You heard the door open and someone quietly walk in.

"Sorry, we're closed," you said not looking up from where you were putting away glasses, it wasn't uncommon to get stragglers looking for one last drink.

The footsteps only got closer.

"I said we're clo-" you started but froze when you saw the familiar face standing in front of you, "-Tabitha?"

She came back.

"You still closed, even for a friend?" she asked innocently.

"So we're friends now? Funny 'cause I thought we were more than that before you left me," you said coldly.

"Y/N, let me explain."

"Explain what? That you were hurting and chose to run away from your problems," you scoffed pulling a rag out to clean the bar top.

She reached out, putting her hand over yours, "Y/N, the hardest thing I have ever done is walk away still madly in love with you."

"If you really loved me you would have let me help you, I know losing Theo was hard and losing Butch and Barbara wasn't any easier but walking away wasn't the answer," you said pulling away from her touch, "where the hell have you even been."

"With that kid Selena Kyle... she found me and asked me to teach her the ropes of being a big bad in this corrupted town."

You couldn't believe that she had been in Gotham this entire time.

She never called.

"I shouldn't have left," she continued, "everyone around me was dying, I don't have a lot of fears Y/N but the one thing that scares me the most is the thought of anything happening to you."

You finally stopped moving around and looked at her.

"Six months... it's been six months Tabitha," you sighed.

"Six months that I should have been with you I know, but if you just give me one more chance, I won't screw it up this time," she said with sincerity in her voice.

She was here.

That had to mean something... right?

"Fine, one more chance but things have changed around here, we don't do dirty business in this club anymore," you told her, pointing a finger to make sure she knew you were serious.

"That's fine by me, that was always Barbara's deal anyways," she shrugged.

You finally felt the tension in your body start to ease.

With the way Tabitha was looking at you, you couldn't help but lean over the counter and kiss her.

"I missed you," you said softly.

"I missed you too," she smiled before kissing you again.

You had been haunted by your memories of Tabitha Galavan, but you still loved her.

You always would.
