~*~ Chapter Eleven ~*~

I dragged the duffle up the side of the mountain in human form. It took double time it would have if I was a wolf, not to mention the extra 50 pounds I was lugging.

After four hours of hicking, I finally made it to Cooper's cave.

He thanked me for the duffle and said, "Did Gale pack it?"

"How did you know?" I asked.

"He came and visited me earlier." said Cooper, as if they had been friends for years.

"Really? That explains why he missed lunch."

     "Lunch?" he asked, confussed.

"Yeah, our back decided it would be a good idea if the younger generation of Elementals began attending human highschool." I said, rolling my eyes.

"That's stupid. What's the point?" he asked.

"That's what I said!" I told him, "You know, I like you, Cooper."

"You're okay yourself, Lily." he said genuinely.

There was a long silence followed by Cooper saying, "I miss my mom."

I didn't know how to respond to that other than to kiss him. There was a breif moment where it wasn't even a kiss, just mere contact of our lips, but then the kiss exploded like fireworks on New Year's Eve. Once I came to my scenses I broke the kiss off.

I looked at Cooper, still posed from the kiss, "Sorry." I said.

"Don't apologize, it was great!" he said with an over dramatized wink.

     "Haha." I said.

He leaned in expecting another kiss, and I didn't say no.
