~*~ Chapter Fifteen ~*~
"I don't like it." were Amber's first words when she heard the plan Cooper and I had in mind.
"Me either." Gale agreed.
"What don't you like about it?" Cooper asked them.
"It's too risky! Can you imagine the consequences?" Aqua asked, nervous that she would be outvoted.
Over breakfast the day before, Cooper and I decided that the Elemental society was ready for a change. We gave the idea some thought, and came up with a way to change it.
"Think about it!" Cooper pleaded, "Imagine it, if there were too many Subbies to take down, the Elementals couldn't do anything but accept them."
"Even if it worked, what if the Subbies when crazy and enslaved the Elementals?" Gale asked.
"That's the problem." Cooper said, making a sour face.
"Why not just have four Subbies?" Gale asked. At least he was trying to process the plan.
"One for each banished element?"
"Yeah. Whatcha think?" Gale asked.
"I think I know the perfect Subs." Cooper said.
"Who?" I asked. I hadn't heard this part.
"Aiden Lampo, Crystal Glace, and Luna Sonnemond."
"Again, who?" I asked.
"Aidan is an Electric Subbie, Crystal is Ice, and Luna is Sun and Moon or a Celestial Subbie." Cooper looked prode of himself.
"And how do you know them?" Aqua asked.
"When we were roaming around looking for a home after my mom was banished, we ran into them along the way."
"I'm in." Amber said suddenly.
"What?" I asked.
"I'm. In." she repeated, talking this time as if I was a toddler.
"Me too!" yelled Aqua, "Holy crap, I'm in!"
"Ah, what the hell, let's give it a try." Gale said.
"What's the worst that can happen, right?" I asked. Oh yeah, I thought, We'd die.
A few days later, we ditched school and headed for the Oregan border. Cooper had talked to his friends and they had agreed to meet us here.
Cooper? A musky voice whispered through our thoughts.
Aiden! It was the happiest Cooper had sounded since we had met him.
Where you followed? Amber asked.
Yeah, by to irritating Subs named Luna and Crystal, Aidan thought.
Thanks, Aid, two unfamiliar voices said together in a sarcastic tone.
You must me Dirt, Aidan thought. Gale must have talked to him. Great.
Yeah, that's me. I usually go by Lily, I told Aidan. Now that I think about it, Gale hasn't called me Dirt in weeks. He must be stressed.
So we're here to overthrow some Elementals? Someone, I'm guessing Luna, thought.
Yeah, Amber said.
Good to know you have first priority in mind, Luna, Cooper thought.
The three Subbies where in site now and they were amazing. Luna was a brilliant combination of purple and gold and it looked like she was made out of stars, Aiden's body was constantly flashing yellow lights of electricity, and Crystal was made completely of ice.
Wow, Gale thought privately to me.
I know. I can't imagine an Elemental hating something like that, I told him.
Elementals had a bad habit of hunting down whatever will get them more power.
So who's ready to overthrow some dictators? Luna asked.
All at once, nine different voices joined in and said, We are.
