Chapter 38

I looked over Aspen's shoulders once more, looking at Jonah for any help from him. I thought he was my savior, but I guess not.
"I can't let any of this happen anymore!"
Jonah yelled, the house echoed with his voice. Jonah pushed past Aspen, bumping her shoulder on his way, and hugs me tightly. The hug only lasted a couple of seconds until he goes being me; holding me in his arms.
"What did you just say?"
Aspen roared in fury. The rest of the boys were watching this go down between the two, me, I was in the middle of this fight- and there was nothing I could do about it.
"I said, I won't let you lay a finger on her."
Aspen stepped back in shock. Shocked in what? Shocked that a vampire wasn't scared of a tiny brat? Aspen had opened her mouth to reveal two sharp daggers. Me being the person in between this whole fight, and a tiny human, I jump back in fear; only to collide farther into Jonah's chest for protection. I wasn't sure what was happening but I heard a roar from Jonah to Aspen, probably telling her to back off. Jack, Daniel, Zach, and Corbyn all back up, knowing what was about to happen wasn't going to be good.
"Give me the stupid brat, Jonah."
