Yuri broke hearts just because he had the power to do so. Yuri broke hearts because his was broken a long time ago, and he didn't see why the world should continue to have happy hearts whilst he was bleeding from the inside.
Yuri broke hearts because his father said that's what real men do.
"Yuri, us Sanchez men don't chase girls. They chase us. Sanchez men don't fall at the feet of girls, they fall for us! When you have them fallen for you, you can make them do anything."
Yuri knew this was wrong. He never wanted someone to treat his mother that way, but Yuri treated girls that way, anyway.
It makes his father proud, and Yuri would do anything to make his father proud.
