Masks

In this selfish world she learnt to mask her feeling and emotions because no one cared for the emotions, she realised emotions had no value. People put up act. Act of being good, of being friends, being in love making her believe in them. These are all masks they wear and in the end they'll leave. All of them. She learnt to mask her feelings too, if she cares for someone she hides it because she knows people will think she's enacting. So she stopped caring, stopped loving, stopped being the one who always cared and always loved and always helped. She stopped when no one gave her a shoulder to cry on when she was sad. She stopped and then he came into her life and delicately pulled out all her masks that she used to hide her emotions from the world, he removed them layer by layer and she found herself in him.
