An Egg?!?

As soon as I read it everything seemed to go back to normal. Mrs Landon began moving again, as well as everything else. I looked at the book dumbfounded and decided to put it back on the shelf

"That book um is a little out of my comfort zone," I said, trying to act as casual as possible.

"Okay then, everyone has their preferences," Mrs. Landon said casually.

"Anyways I'd better be going now," I said as I walked out of the library, still confused and panicked.

I walked to my locker, wondering what the heck could be going on. Could this be magic? If so then how is that possible???

I walked up to my locker and began putting in the combination. My mind raced with possibilities as I put in the last number of the combination.
I carefully opened my locker only to be met with a strange egg. It was blue and scaly, it almost looked frosty. I stared at it. What the heck???? An egg???? My mind raced with thoughts as I stared at the egg, not knowing what to do.
