Chapter 4

November,15 1988

Michael's POV

I invited ,Janet,my brothers,Frank, and mother..It was a surprise that Joseph came. La Toya ....couldn't come, and Rebbie was busy. And of course i invited My bodyguards Bill and Adam.

I want this day to be one her best birthdays ever...

She finally stepped out of her room wearing an identical red button up like mine with an armband tucked in to her blue jeans and her little boots.

Janet ran to her and carried her up,"You look so cute Adri!" and yes ...for her age ....shes kinda small

"Thank you,can i have cake now?"

I said,"Nope,we have to eat dinner first."

"Please Daddy!"

"But--"

Janet interupted me and said,"Come on Michael,its her birthday."

*Sigh* "Fine."

Janet put her down and Adriana ran to the kitchen.

I followed her and said,"Wait,you have to blow your candle first."

I lit up the number 8 candle and sat her on the table.I took my camera and started recording

"Okay Adriana,make a wish and bl--"

She didn't let me finish and just blew the candle

"Okay then,what did you wish for?"

"I wished for something."

"And what is that something?"

"If i tell you,it might not come true!"

"Well alright."

Janet put a slice on her plate and Adriana ran out of the kitchen door .

We heard a loud thud,so we ran staright out side.

Adriana was on the floor to her stomach and Joseph was in front of her .

"LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MY SHOE CHILD!"

Adriana slowly stood up and said,"I-i'm sorry,i didn't mean it."

The plate was on Joseph's shoes.

I ran quickly to Her and carried her up.She began to cry , i said,"Joseph! Why did you have to raise your voice? It was by accident!"

"Well she shouldn't be running around!"

"Joseph i'm going upstairs now.And by the time i get back down i want everybody out!"

I carried her go her room

and put her on her bed.

"Babygirl are you alright?"

"Sorry Daddy! I didn't mean to! Please don't make me sleep under the bed tonight!"

"I'm not going to do that.Why would i?"

"Be-because everytime i get in trouble at the orphanage...Ms.Jane makes me sleep under the bed for 3 days as punishment."

I can't believe this...

I hugged her and said,"Well,i won't let you sleep under the bed....Now imma give you a little present...Come on!"

We walked downstairs and yup..everybody was out. I didn't want EVERBODY out ..Just Joseph.But it wasn't a good idea so.

I made her sit on yhe couch and i signaled Bill to play the song

'Billie Jean'

I started dancing and Adriana's face lit up.Now thats what i wanted to see.

I finally finished and she said

"Daddy i want to be just like you!"

"Really?"

"Yeah!"

"You can be anything you want to be."

"Now i'm gonna sing for you."

"Go Daddy! Sing now!"

I chuckled and said

"Alright."

I signaled

Bill to play the short music i recored a few weeks ago..

I began to sing:

Happy birthday Ana,Ana its your birthday.Daddy loves you more, then you can ever imagine.You light up my sky when its so blue..ooohhh.Happy birthday Ana,Ana its your birthday.I just wanted to say ....I loove you....

I carried her up and said

"Happy birthday Babygirl."

"Thank you so much Daddy i love you!"

"Your welcome,i love your more."
