it's been 6 months that maria and grayson were dating. it's a very lowkey relationship with only family and friends knowing about it. maria knew that grayson had been planning something so she was waiting for him to come home to let her know the plans for the day.
the front door made a loud noise as grayson opened it making maria excited and she met him halfway as he walked into the living room.
"good morning baby." grayson said, putting his keys on the table and pulling maria into a hug. maria smiled into his chest as she embraced him. "happy anniversary."
"happy anniversary, bub." she replied, pulling away to give him a kiss. "so what are we doing today?"
"well..." grayson spoke slowly making maria die of curiousity, "i may or may not have bought harry styles tickets."
"no way. ur kidding me!" maria squealed as she jumped into grayson's arms unable to hide her excitement, "we're going to a harry styles concert?"
"yes!" he replied happily making maria sigh in contentment. she kissed grayson's cheek before running to their room to get changed. grayson followed behind with a small smile on his face, feeling his heart smile too because he made her happy.
7 hours later
maria and grayson walked hand in hand back to their car as they left the concert. maria still had a smile on her face as she replayed the memory in her head.
"gray, thank you so much. that was the nicest thing anyone's done for me." maria stopped next to his porsche and spoke gently. grayson looked down at her with a soft grin on his face.
"baby, it's nothing. i'd do anything for you because you deserve it." grayson replied and kiss her head before opening the passenger door for her.
"wait! you get in the passenger seat." grayson furrowed his brows but nodded and tossed her the keys. she sat behind the wheel and made her way to the unknown location.
"where are we going?" grayson asked confusedly, watching as trees passed by. maria told him to be patient and continued driving. it was around 9:30pm so grayson was curious to see where she would take him at this time.
"okay we're here!" maria said excitedly and got out of the car. grayson followed closely behind as she made her way to a small bench facing the view of los angeles.
grayson had his mouth open in awe as the town was bright against the dark night sky. he sat down on the bench, admiring the view.
"the real views up there." maria said quietly, pointing up making grayson look at the sky. the sky was lit with stars that shone brighter than the lights from the town. it was a small gesture for maria to bring grayson here but it meant more to him than anything she could've ever done.
grayson loves nature and anything to do with nature and for her to bring him to a place surrounded by it and to see a beautiful view made him think about how lucky he is.
"this is amazing." grayson whispered in amazement. maria blushed at grayson's reaction. she didn't realise he would like it this much.
"i thought you'd like it." maria put her head on his shoulder, holding his forearm. grayson looked down at her and felt his heart swarm. they hadn't said they loved each other yet. most people think it's ridiculous to wait 6 months to say it but they knew they loved each other, they just didn't need to say it for the other person to know.
he leaned down and captured her lips in his as he kissed her passionately. maria held his cheek with her cold hand while grayson's hand rested on her lower back and the other on her neck.
"maria..." grayson started as he stared into her eyes.
"yeah?" she replied in a whisper.
"i-i love you. i love you so much." grayson felt like he just proposed to her as he sighed nervously. maria felt like the breath was knocked out of her. she knew he loved her but to hear him say it was something else.
"i love you too, gray." maria replied happily, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulled him down into another kiss. grayson smiled against her lips as he heard the 3 words he already knew. they stayed at the top of the mountain for another hour, in each other's arms having just confessed their love for each other.
