Sam & Cat & the Haunted Thundermans
Chapter Eight: The Boardwalk Walk
Taylor Hathaway POV
My family and the Preston's had a really hard time deciding what we should do especially because the Preston's are ghosts and they can't go to most of the places that my family and I can and vise versa. We had decided to go to the boardwalk. I know that I can always do this at home, but it was our first vacation together and we wanted to do something on our first full day of our vacation. We couldn't think of anything else to do, but to go to the beach and at the boardwalk, there is a beach! My mom explained to the Preston's that I found the person and that I was going to meet up with them around five, so we all left for the boardwalk around twelve. This boardwalk was like any regular boardwalk, nothing exciting. It had gift shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, candy shops, mini golf, a water park, a small amusement park for little kids, and a big, beautiful beach. But even though there was so much to this boardwalk, there was nothing much that we could do on it, but walk on it. With the Preston's around, we couldn't do too much, without someone noticing. But sometimes you have to make compromises with friendship.
"So Taylor," Miles began, "Tell me a about your new friends, I'm dying to know what they're like."
I suddenly pulled out my iPhone and held it up to my right ear.
"Hold on, I have to take this call," I told Frankie and Mom, as I winked at them.
They winked back at me. I was doing this so that it didn't look like I was talking to myself to the other people at the boardwalk. Only my family and I could see the Preston's.
"They were very nice," I finally told Miles. "Three of them reminded me of Frankie."
"What are their names?" Miles asked me.
"Sam, Max, and Nora."
"Were you interviewing any of them?"
"No."
"What is the name of the person that you're interviewing?"
"Her name is Cat. She's not too bright, but she's very nice. She is also doing the essay and she has to write about Louisiana. How cool is that?!?!"
"The coolest! So, who else did you meet?"
"Phoebe and Billy. Phoebe is a lot like me. She loves school and loves to do a lot of after school activities. She is also doing the essay and also has to write about California. She lives in Nevada and she is interviewing Sam and Sam is interviewing her. On the other hand, Billy reminds me of Cat."
"Oh."
"Oh and did I mention that Max, Nora, and Billy are Phoebe's brothers and sisters?"
"No."
"Yeah, Max is even Phoebe's twin brother."
"Twins?!?! I love twins!"
"Me too! I've always wanted my own twin!"
"Isn't one Taylor enough?" Frankie asked me.
I just rolled my eyes at Frankie. "Whatever, Frankie," I replied.
"I mean, don't we get annoyed enough by one Taylor?"
Sisters... They hate you at one minute, then they love you at another.
"And don't we get pestered enough by one Frankie?"
Frankie just rolled her eyes at me.
We basically just chattered and walked up and down the boardwalk for the rest of the time that we were there. Nothing exciting, but it was better than nothing. Like I said, you sometimes have to make compromises with friendship. We finally decided to head back to our hotel rooms at 4:00 PM, so that Frankie and I could get ready to go to Sam and Cat's apartment. Oh boy, was this going to be fun!
